As we'd had an expensive Sunday lunch out the week before, I thought I cook lunch this Sunday. But just as I was about to start cooking, the OH said lets go for a walk around the harbour and have lunch for dinner.
We did have a portion of chips for lunch each, whilst wondering around and managed to keep the gulls at bay :))
I went to the cinema with my three grand daughters today, we saw Goosebumps 2. Afterwards we had a meal from McDonald's – the girls like to have a picnic in the car 😀
I had probably been at Heroescon for half the day before I decided to look at the back of my press pass, which gave me the glorious news that I got to stay in the convention center after the con was over for the day to talk to artists.
Chip Zdarsky and Matt Fraction had a line all day long like so many other artists at the show, so I just happened to run into them before my time ran out after the con. The were kind enough to let me take a Polaroid, and after it developed I knew that I'd peaked at the show. I could have stopped taking photos after this, because there was no topping this excellence. Thanks guys.
CHIPS is the topic for the 18th of April 2011
Wood chips at night. Saw the challenge posted on the group page. Daisy was wanting out while I was catching up on the posts. I realized I had a pile of chips out in the back so I tossed on my coat and grabbed the camera. Again, she was done with her business before I was done shooting.
baked this matcha or green tea chiffon cake this morning...instead of adzuki red beans, I added some dark chococlate chips into the batter. I love the taste of this combo :D

Chips belongs to a friend and neighbor of my family. I'm so happy when he visits here. He came today when his human worked on a project here. He reminds me tremendously of Woody, my beloved dog who once lived here with me when I was a child and teen.
Circuit board and chips from a demonstration unit for the new ARM mobile phone processor at the Symbian Smart Phone Show in London. It shows how the processors increased efficiency ensures a longer battery life, apparently :p
Personally I love how the central set of switches are in focus showing that in confusion there is clarity :)

The bakery team really has that special touch when it comes to treats. These are some gigantic cookies which have a great crisp to the outside and remain nice and chewy on the inside. The only problem with cookies of this size is that you can't dunk it whole in a glass of milk. But I've heard the team has solved this issue already.
For the shot I just wanted to capture the innocence of what chocolate cookies still mean to me. Before the days of falling real estate prices, government bailout and everything else going around all you really needed was a nice warm plate of cookies and some milk and after you were done all was right again with the world.
In order to try to pick up the texture of the cookies and to give a bit of shadow I placed my umbrella at a 90 deg angle camera right pointed right at the cookies.
After the shot my daughter and I poured a glass of milk and started eating it to which my daughter proclaimed, "These are the best cookies evar!"

I got new Melacacia chips in the mail yesterday, and I couldn't be more thrilled with them! They are beautiful!!!
So I want to make yet another version of chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes. My dilemma? Australia doesn't seem to sell mini chocolate chips. And you absolutely need mini choc chips if you're making chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes; regular-sized chips are just too big for this particular purpose.
And so I set to the task of making my own mini chocolate chips. It isn't difficult at all. Melt some chocolate. Cool it until it is thick and pipeable. Spoon it into a ziploc bag, snip off a tiny piece from the corner of the bag and pipe away.
Easy.
