This is Chip surfing at Manini this morning. The swell was down from yesterday, when I got worked over, but it still looked like fun out there!
Manini is a point break in Kealakekua Bay in Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii.
I am being a bit of a naughty girl here by ordering this meal packed full of calories. How am I ever going to drop a dress size with such unacceptable behaviour. Perhaps you could help me out by taking a chip or two.

As we'd had an expensive Sunday lunch out the week before, I thought I cook lunch this Sunday. But just as I was about to start cooking, the OH said lets go for a walk around the harbour and have lunch for dinner.
We did have a portion of chips for lunch each, whilst wondering around and managed to keep the gulls at bay :))
I went to the cinema with my three grand daughters today, we saw Goosebumps 2. Afterwards we had a meal from McDonald's – the girls like to have a picnic in the car 😀
I had probably been at Heroescon for half the day before I decided to look at the back of my press pass, which gave me the glorious news that I got to stay in the convention center after the con was over for the day to talk to artists.
Chip Zdarsky and Matt Fraction had a line all day long like so many other artists at the show, so I just happened to run into them before my time ran out after the con. The were kind enough to let me take a Polaroid, and after it developed I knew that I'd peaked at the show. I could have stopped taking photos after this, because there was no topping this excellence. Thanks guys.

It’s surprisingly difficult to photograph a lone potato chip. Or perhaps I should say… it’s surprisingly difficult to leave a potato chip uneaten long enough to photograph it.
Peace, peace, peace
My brother, Chip, passed away 3 days ago on May 8. The next morning I started making an altar for him in my garden. Among many special deities & treasures from my time in Asia, there are many things here with much meaning from childhood; a tile from our swimming pool where we spent all of every summer, RCA Victor dog & much more. His favorite candy Reece's Pieces is here. I kept adding to it for hours, so it changes through the pix.
baked this matcha or green tea chiffon cake this morning...instead of adzuki red beans, I added some dark chococlate chips into the batter. I love the taste of this combo :D
Recipe is posted here.
in keeping with the statue theme lets take a look at Chip And Dale. what amazes me is the amount of people that miss these beautiful statues.i hope you enjoy
looks much better this way, honest!
more from my walk yesterday. there's this stone retaining wall that's kinda bowing awkwardly so... figured i'd snap it before it falls down in a few years. i think this is lichen or something. not really positive, haha. could be paint.
not sure how i feel about this one. :S i have more flower photos but i wanted to break it up a little bit.. mehhh. i'm just not finding things i'm excited about this week.
Somewhat late entry to Friday Food Fiesta!
This is the best fish & chips meal ever. It's from a little restaurant in Cannon Beach, OR called Ecola (not ecoli, I know, it's kind of ironic) Seafood. The halibut is always delicious, and you can also get them in salmon (their salmon is always fresh-caught, not farmed!), and, er, red snapper, I think. Maybe cod, too. Add their handmade tartar sauce ... yum.
Chips belongs to a friend and neighbor of my family. I'm so happy when he visits here. He came today when his human worked on a project here. He reminds me tremendously of Woody, my beloved dog who once lived here with me when I was a child and teen.
Circuit board and chips from a demonstration unit for the new ARM mobile phone processor at the Symbian Smart Phone Show in London. It shows how the processors increased efficiency ensures a longer battery life, apparently :p
Personally I love how the central set of switches are in focus showing that in confusion there is clarity :)
