Over Grant Avenue, in the vibrant heart of San Francisco's Chinatown, a cascade of Chinese lanterns creates a canopy of color.
A pretty unusual sight during the pandemic: taken in early afternoon ,.,,,no people in sight (Chinatown is normally packed with a constant stream of people on the sidewalks). A lone cat relaxing on the sidewalk, something that would be impossible to do in normal daytime, since a constant stream of people would be thronging here.

Seis generaciones después, su embutido tradicional sigue siendo el mejor de la ciudad.
In 1856 ― before the Civil War, before California became a state, before the signing of the Chinese Exclusion Act, before the advent of refrigeration ― Mow Lee began making Cantonese-style preserved meats in Chinatown. Six generations later, its cured traditional meat, is still the best in the city.
