Wind chimes are chimes constructed from suspended tubes, rods, bells or other objects and are often made of metal or wood. Wind chimes are usually hung outside of a building or residence, as a visual and aural garden ornament, and are to be played by the wind.-Wikipedia

Was testing the 135mm f2.8 and decided to test it on the Wind Chime which is silent during Winter times.

The first Dragon to enter the room was Sirrus. He flapped his wings nervously, shielding Myst and Chime from the sites of the Dragon's that were to follow. He wasn't sure how Achenar and Morrow would react, so he stayed on his guard. After all, Achenar and Morrow had had no idea that Myst had returned, and were to be in for a major shock.

Snowflake chimes at my Grandma's house.

Achenar, Morrow, Chime, and Myst talked together for a very very long time. Myst explained herself clearly to her Dragon kin, so that they would fully understand her intentions, even if she didn't have to. All seemed perfect, like a fairytale come true.

Everything except...Sirrus. After he had brought Chime into the room, he had felt forgotten and out of place. As everyone had talked, he had slunk off to a corner of the lab quietly, and watched the happy faces of the others as they discussed everything that has happened.

Classic '80s Goth Punk band 13th Chime from Suffolk, slaying The Smokehouse, Ipswich. Good stuff.

Here we see a woman trying to decide which beautiful wind-chime she wants to take home. There are many stunning works of art for sale every year at the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts just like these wind-chimes.

Suddenly, their eyes lit on Myst. Morrow let out a ferocious roar and bolted forward. Achenar followed, eyes wild and terrible.

Sirrus, desperate to protect Myst, flung himself forward to stop the Dragon's approach.

Myst, terrified, but also determined to explain herself, fell to her knees and closed her eyes. She was ready for whatever came.

The Flickr Lounge ... Saturday Theme ... Starts with S (spiral, string, shells)

I love the colour and shape of this wind chime but it has proven completely unsatisfactory for hanging on the deck as I intended. The string tangled in all but the gentlest breeze and the soft noise they made was not audible from anywhere other than right beside it. I recently untangled all the strings and hung it from the ceiling inside and it looks beautiful.

When used for decorative items like this, the shell is known as capiz. It comes from the windowpane oyster. The oysters are edible, but valued more for the shells and pearls. The shells have been used for thousands of years as a glass substitute because of their durability and translucence. More recently they have been used in the manufacture of decorative items like chandeliers and lampshades.

The Dragon's came on, sparks blazing, claws extended. Chime had hidden herself. She was too terrified of these creatures to come out and show herself.

Myst stood up and prepared herself for the teeth and claws of her once dear and loved family. It was almost too heartbreaking to bear.

Sirrus flung himself in front of Myst like a shield...

Natures song played on so many bells is music to my soul!

Another impromptu stop along the Morganton Highway. Seeing this wind chime gazebo made for a stop and some quick shots!!! The center wind chime has a pipe about 6 feet long!!!

This is one of my favorite pieces because it came together so effortlessly and everything works. Made out of two old speakers, it's magnetic, so the wire is more secure.

The base is an old loud speaker with a smaller speaker stuck on the bottom. The larger speaker suspends four springs holding glass bottles recovered from a junk pile. The inner speaker is removable (and magnetic) and suspends an antique perfume bottle surrounded by four chunks of broken crystal.

Unlike a usual wind chime, it does not make sound from the pieces clinking together, but rather by the wind blowing over the bottle tops. The sound it makes a soothing sound, like a deep whistle, and varies with the addition of water.
