The Chimes by Charles Dickens

directed by Matt Strachan

9th - 17th December 2021

The Chimes - based on Charles Dickens' second Christmas book, written a year after A Christmas Carol - is a dark and haunting tale set on New Year's Eve that follows the fortunes of Meg and Richard, a bright young couple put down by class and circumstance in a harsh Victorian world of poverty and disillusionment. After being visited by spirits, the audience are taken through a series of fantastical visions that reveal what lies ahead for the couple whilst hopefully restoring any lost faith in humanity.

Wind chimes hanging in our store in Yackandandah. A Bears Old Wares. www.abearsoldwares.com

Mom bought me this beautiful chime in Edom! I just love it.

I caught another (or the same?) lizard on the wind chimes again. This time, I saw/heard it make the leap from post to chimes. I think it was trying to get away from me, though I hadn't even seen it before it jumped. (Silly thing. I don't even eat reptiles.)

They ring when the wind clangs them together, but they don't hang like normal windchimes.

Music and nature are both homes to me. Combine the two and you'll hear wind chimes. This photo was taken in my back yard.

Chime is really quite a benevolent demi-deity. After all, we do feed her.

No idea why they put up a bunch of wind chimes.

Like the first picture I took of a chime. I love it.

Another aspect of the wind chimes I found.

Digital artwork. A photo of a set of chimes used by percussionists, processed through a number of filters in PS5.

This is an Asian-style candle holder of mine. I just loved the angle and especially the lighting in this particular shot.
