The last one of this series at least for now. I might have a couple that I'll share later but it's time to move on. I know that not everyone wants to see a picture of an adorable child having fun, but he's my Grandson so I'm biased. I was pretty happy with this one a small attempt at panning. I wanted to get him in focus but also capture the motion of the ride. I hand held at an ISO of 250 and I used my 40mm lens. I wish you all a great weekend!! I have a busy weekend planned so I'll be on and off line. <3

Recent interview:
Hoping each child will be blessed this Christmas, with safety and happiness. I know in my heart that will not happen, but maybe the more we hope and pray..and help..the numbers will increase. It seems like there is always more we can do for the impovershed of this world, and even this country. There is so much I could do, but I don't always do it. Perhaps someone should pray for our souls, rather than theirs.
This is a painting I did years ago and scanned onto my computer.

Henry Moore’s Mother and Child in St. Paul’s Cathedral
March122020
One of the most interesting pieces I found in St. Paul’s Cathedral was Henry Moore’s Mother and Child: Hood. Moore’s semi-abstract sculptures helped create a very specific form of modernism in the United Kingdom.
Completed in 1983 out of travertine marble, Moore’s take on Michelangelo’s Pieta is able to convey the grieving Mary after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ using minimal detail. The characteristic disparity in size between the Madonna and Christ becomes further exaggerated through the abstraction of form. The way Moore nests the two figures strengthens the maternal relationship by creating an almost wombic cradle.
Delaware-Lackawanna local SC-7 has completed their work at Linde in Carbondale and returns south to Scranton, Pennsylvania on the former Delaware & Hudson mainline. Childs is littered with culm banks, the pock marks on the landscape a reminder of this area's former rich anthracite-mining heritage. Every Child Matters Locomotive
On September 30, 2021, Orange Shirt Day and Canada's first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, CP proudly placed into service the “Every Child Matters” orange locomotive to commemorate the victims and honour the survivors of residential schools in Canada. The locomotive will raise awareness as it operates across CP’s network for all of us who see it to continue on the path of learning about Indigenous Peoples and their rich history and culture.
The special orange locomotive was proposed by 13-year-old Jacob Hoffer, an Indigenous youth, who in the summer 2021 wrote to CP asking it to consider painting one of CP’s locomotives orange. In September, Jacob and his mom, Darcy, were invited to CP headquarters in Calgary to participate in the unveiling of the locomotive he helped make a reality.
CP received guidance from the Orange Shirt Society (OSS) to develop the special livery for this locomotive, which proudly displays the OSS logo on the side of the locomotive’s nose. OSS is a non-profit organization that supports Indian Residential School Reconciliation and creates awareness of the individual, family and community inter-generational impacts of Indian Residential Schools.
CP is proud to support the efforts of the OSS to create meaningful discussion about the effects of residential schools and the legacy they have left behind.
CP’s orange locomotive was commissioned onto the network on Orange Shirt Day and the first official National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada.
The very nature and purpose of Orange Shirt Day, and National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, are to create an opportunity for Canadians to learn about and reflect on a dark chapter in the country's history and to commemorate the victims and honour the survivors, their families and their communities, as called for by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Indigenous leaders.
The orange locomotive will serve as a constant reminder of the work ahead, but also draw on the inspiration that connected Jacob, CP and the Orange Shirt Society - “Every Child Matters”.

Keep your own child inside, don't let him slip through your fingers. Treat him nice and listen to him.

I tried to reinterpret one of Hendrix's all time 'mind-blowing' and in some cases 'fuse-blowing' classics 'Voodoo Child' (Slight Return) in visual terms with reference to the treble clef.

London police clearing the area near Tower Bridge because of a suspect package left behind in the form of a pink trolley for children. Hectic moments for the alert London finest.
This photo was taken thru the dirty rear window of a cab I was riding on my way to a meeting.
I did not take this photograph to showcase my shooting techniques nor show off how good my equipment is, but rather to express the boundless and forgiving innocence of a child.
Here is a picture of a child caring for another child. Sitting in the middle island of a busy street, both children were oblivious to the danger around them. While waiting for the light to change to red so they can resume begging, the older child can be seen innocently playing with her charge and seemingly having fun. Amidst the danger, oppressive heat and poverty, she's able to find time to be who she really is, just a child.
One for the kids...a digital painting.

I participated in the LEA Photohunt. I had lots of fun being with other wonderful photographers. In the hunt we were given a LM a theme and only 60mins to take the best photo. NO EDITS. We then place our photo on a panel and we anonymously vote on the photo we like. Its a quick vote, top 3 wins a small price.
This theme was "Your Best Photo"
Dipping a child's toy into bubble solution, I was able to capture the movement as magnificent colors zipped past my lens.
There’s something highly exciting for children about escaping someone else’s sight. Perhaps it is from playing "Boo" when you hold a hand in front of your face then say "boo" as you move the hand away. It often gets a smile from both baby and adult. At an early stage children believe they can not be seen if their eyes are covered as though when two people can not see each others' eyes they become invisible. Does this go on into adulthood? When we don't look at a beggar does that make them invisible?
Maybe I think too much on Sundays?
