Hello Everyone!
Perhaps I am a simpleton, but it never ceases to amaze me that small birds can perch on little flowers! This was taken during fall migration and the Nashville Warbler was so intent on finding bugs that it paid no attention to me as I clicked away. A few passersby stopped to ask what I was seeing. It was heartwarming to see their delight as they stood by me and watched the action. This was one of those memorable days that we all hope to have now and again.
Thanks a million for stopping by and for leaving a comment. I do love hearing from you! Have a wonderful day and weekend!

They say you shouldn't photograph other people's art and on the whole I agree with that. In this case however, because this piece was so unique, I thought I would photograph it and show it because frankly it deserves to be seen. This piece is a near life size sculpture by a French artist named Emeric Chantier which we saw displayed in an art gallery in a wing of Chateau Malrome, which is Toulouse-Lautrec's former home near Bordeaux. When you see it in real life it is breath taking, so completely original.
For further info on the artist there is a page on the Chateau Malrome website that tells a little more about the artist:

Mural painting depicting the Virgin Mary with the infant Jesus breastfeeding - with an angel watching, dating to the 14th century.
At the church Sant'Andrea, itself dating to the 13th century (first mentioned 1236 - when it replaced an earlier church at the same place) and built in the Romanesque style. The church was badly damaged by bombings during the second world war but has been restored to its original looks.
Fantasy Gacha Carnival is open! I found this adorable set by Yokai at the event and it made my little heart twitter. Although my little Child of Nature is wearing Moon Amore's new plastic outfit from Collabor.... but she has assured me that the outfit is made from 100% recycled plastic. :P And this hair. Oh this hair.......

Feeling wretched with a massive gout attack that has left me full of PKs and confined to barracks.
There’s some that will say they wouldn’t wish this on their worst enemy, but I would … then I wouldn’t have it.
Anyways, I’ve posted an uplifting snap to cheer me up.
This is not my usual angle. Usually I don't recomended photographing kids from above. But sometimes that works as well. I edited this after midnight. I was working in the evening ( still need to because of tones of work ). My son fell asleep next to me on the floor. I closed the file with my project and opened Lightroom. This shot just caught my attention. Love those 5 minute edits!

While trying to capture this peak foliage scene a small child ran into my frame. I thought, "wow, isn't this serendipitous!" So I named him "Sunday's Child" since this shot was made on a Sunday in October.

A child is a human being between birth and puberty; a boy or girl. The legal definition of "child" generally refers to a minor, otherwise known as a person younger than the age of majority. "Child" may also describe a relationship with a parent or authority figure, or signify group membership in a clan, tribe, or religion; it can also signify being strongly affected by a specific time, place, or circumstance, as in "a child of nature" or "a child of the Sixties.
