Mural painting depicting the Virgin Mary with the infant Jesus breastfeeding - with an angel watching, dating to the 14th century.
At the church Sant'Andrea, itself dating to the 13th century (first mentioned 1236 - when it replaced an earlier church at the same place) and built in the Romanesque style. The church was badly damaged by bombings during the second world war but has been restored to its original looks.

I'm off for a day taking photos with my friend Bob today. we're hoping to take a quick Look for adders , then pop down to the coast. Who knows what we'll see . Autumn's child is by Captain Beefheart, and it's certainly getting autumnal now. My cold showers are taking on an edge .
I've been copying old family photos for my sister and came across this one of a young me with our family dog Lady (I think)
There's a quality about these old analogue photos that's got a little lost by copying, but it makes me question what it meant to make every click count.
There's undoubtably an emotional connection too of course that adds to the power of the image.
My partner sees a likeness to my eldest son Joseph in me here.
I look as a 62 year old man and smile, imagining how it felt to be that age, with so much ahead of me .. and feeling an immense sense of gratitude
