Another very early morning shot at high ISO, taken before we could readily see the birds with the naked eye. Here a chicken displays next to a cow patty.
Shot for Looking Close on Friday. Homemade spicy mayo chicken burger with swiss, lettuce and tomatoe. YUMMY!
Served on my favorite cutting board - ironic NOTHNG gets cut on this board. It is my snadwich board I guess and NEVER goes in dishwasher. It is 34 yrs old.

The cottage garden had 5 chickens living in it and I took quite a few photos while we were there. I don't want to bombard you with all the photos in one go, so one a day!! Here's the pretty white chicken (through the window)!!
A chicken sticker spotted on a lamppost that looks hand-drawn with a brush, among other random stickers. Coincidentally, the Fat Chicken fast food shop is only about a hundred metres away.

In tribute to a small band of wild Burmese chickens that has long strutted proudly through the streets of the small town of Fitzgerald, Georgia, a local entrepreneur began am ambitious project to build a giant, 62-foot topiary chicken statue to serve as a one-room bed-and-breakfast/tourist attraction. However, in June 2023, city officials apparently put the project on hold due to ballooning costs.
The photo shows how the chicken looked in December, 2022.
The prompt in the Blythe a Day group was "Bubble Bath/Snuggle a Chicken" (since it was Wubba Wednesday) so two of my little 'uns set to it.
I forgot to tell them a thing or two. . .
However, I wish they had managed to wash them, filthy as pigs them chicks! They are quite clean animals normally.
Lime Chicken
Grill boneless, skinless chicken thighs over medium heat, keeping away from direct flame.
Combine red pepper flakes, Serrano pepper (1/2 pepper), onion (chopped/minced), garlic (1 clove), olive oil (2 tbsp), juice of 1/2 lime).
Pour mixture over chicken during cooking, making sure to cover evenly.
Cook till juices run clear.
Salsa:
2 whole tomatoes
1/4 cup onion (chopped)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp oregano
1 tsp lime juice
2 tbsp jalapeno
1/2 red pepper (chopped)
2 tsp Habanero pepper
1 1/2 tsp cilantro (chopped)
Mix all ingredients together, let stand ~ 30 min, serve.
EDIT: I also sprinkled a bit of dill on top.

This lighthouse stands on a rock to the south of the Isle of Man. It is a "mark of the course" for many offshore yacht races from Ireland. Due to the tides around this southerly point the sea can be "quite lumpy" here. Not this day though.
