Enjoying the cherry blossoms (and magnolias in bloom) in Kenwood, Bethesda, MD.

The neighborhood has about 1200 cherry trees and, while full of people, is much less crowded than the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC.

Large Milkweed Bugs feeding on common milkweed. The large bug on the left is an adult, the rest of the bugs are juveniles. Similar to the Monarch Butterfly, Milkweed Bugs are toxic to predators because of the toxicity of the milkweed sap that they feed on. Photographed at Chevy Chase, Montgomery County, Maryland, US.
