1999 would be the final year for the 2-door Tahoe, as the new generation for 2000 would be 4-door only. The shorter 2-door (188" length and 111.5" wheelbase) had declining sales during the 1990s and was the last 2-door full size SUV since the Ford Bronco was dropped in 1996. The 1999 Tahoe production run began early in 1998, with the new 2000 models coming in 1999.

I photographed this USDA United States Forest Service 2015-2019 Chevrolet Tahoe in Carson City, NV. Note the twin siren speakers in front. This K9 unit has alot more ground clearance than most other Tahoe's so it either has GM's Z71 off-road package or a suspension lift kit. I usually detest clear LED lightbars but this one with the blacked out top looks quite good.
