Winslow and I were in chelsea eating lunch one day and it started to snow like crazy. I was so excited I ran outside with my camera and started taking pictures, I've never had my camera around during the snow so it was a big deal to me!

So a few weeks ago one of my co-workers asked me if I would take some pictures of her daughter that she could use for her senior pics. Of course I agreed. I don't just shoot deer and bugs all the time :) Seriously though, this was the first time I had done a "formal" senior portrait shooting. I thought I would give it a try. I don't have a true portrait lens but I think the 100-400mm makes a great stand-in lens. Posted with permission.

Photograph of Chelsea bridge featuring the barges that float on this part of the river. The area is now well developed on both sides of the river with new apartments and shops

Chelsea Market, early on a Sunday morning is still quite empty. In the afternoon, when the locals are done brunching and the tourists make their way downtown, the place is packed. This is one of the few shopping spots I can actually tolerate, mostly because of the pretty industrial architecture (I'm a sucker for exposed brick and iron beams) and the tasty food and coffee options. Even so, the only time I can actually stand to be there is early in the morning, before the crowds show up.

No I didn't go to the Chelsea Flower Show. I tried it once and found it far to expensive, crowded and overwhelming for me. Instead I went to Chelsea in Bloom and Belgravia in Bloom. A train to Victoria and then wandering the streets admiring and photographing to my hearts content.
