Or is it just in käs?
How many different varieties of cheese are in this refrigerated case at the Alp & Dell store in Monroe, Wisconsin? I lose count. This was only one of the cases. There were more in the store.

A selection of Irish cheeses for sale in Tesco today. I can heartily recommend the Bó Rua & Wicklow Bán. Taken for Saturday Self-Challenge theme : Food & Drink.
A slight tale of woe when it came to this week's photo :
Tuesday I baked a yummy lemon drizzle cake as we had invited friends over for coffee & cake in the afternoon. This was the first cake I have baked in probably 3 years & the first one in my entire life that I have ever iced! I actually had to look up how to make icing. I was so impressed with myself I totally forgot to take a photo before we demolished it.
Wednesday evening we had a BBQ, just the 2 of us. We cooked marinaded chicken thighs, burgers & vegetable kebabs on our tripod stype BBQ. Just as the food was almost ready I had to take an important phone call & Martin got talking to a lady who called to the house to collect some lettuce plants I was giving away. Cut a long story short, while we were distracted, the damn dogs ate our food, all except the veggie kebabs 😡 So again no photo.
Thursday was Martin's Onocologist appointment. All went well. On the way home we stopped at a lovely cafe for lunch. I had crispy chicken strips, bacon & baked goat's cheese on a bed of lettuce & tomato. It so good. I had wolfed most of it down before I realised I'd forgotten to take a photo 😂
So cheese it is.
When you have cheese hiding in the fridge for an unknow amount of town and limited access to the outside world. Yes I found that cheese way back in the cheese drawer.

Something a little different.. I’ve always been intrigued with this abstract roadside sculpture ‘The Gateway’ which is located over the Tullamarine Freeway in Melbourne, Australia.
It copped strong criticism when it was built in the late 1990s (as did the Sydney Opera House), but today, perceptions have changed. The Gateway is now an icon. It’s accepted. The public has decided: it’s a view worth having!

A homemade cheese press, of interdeterminant age, which was used in a farmhouse on West Yorkshire for several generations. I sketched it from a photograph in the book "Life and Tradition in the Yorkshire Dales" by Marie Hartley and Joan Ingilby (1968) as I did research for a reconstruction drawing. The wooden bar was drawn down on the cheese mould, or chesford, bet cranking the wooden wheel and then a stone weight was suspended from the crook of the bar. Drawn with a Staedtler Pigment Liner pen.
I cut the lens off a Holga medium format camera, and put the shutter from an old folding kodak on it with a pinhole instead of its lens. It's a little dusty and rough around the edges – I've been carrying it around in a bag of toy cameras for years.
I figured it to be f/184 – so Say cheese (and hold still)!
A selection of utensils used by West Yorkshire farming people to make cheese in their farmhouses, based on illustrations in the book "Life and tradition in the Yorkshire Dales" by Marie Hartley and Joan Ingilby, 1967. The utensils are most likely late 19th or early 20th century in date but their precursors are likely to have been similar which mean I may be able to include something like them in a reconstruction drawing I am working on. The items are 1, a bridge. 2, tin cheese kettle. 3, breaker (to break the whey). 4, Copper cheese kettle. 5, a grinder. 6, cheese moulds or chesfords and a sinker, or lid. These would be used on the cheese press to shape the cheese. It was relaxing to do some quick sketches and apply a bit of watercolour without worrying about getting the ellipses correct.
It's too cold to go out tonight so I photographed a cheese grater on a mouse pad with a macro lens. Colors came out nice, I guess. Fun project.
My sweetie is so cute. He wanted to make grilled cheese sandwiches earlier this week, so he went to the store and got all the ingredients, but forgot the cheese. Ha!
