First documented island record. Golden-cheeked Warbler is accidental in the USA away from the breeding grounds.

I like the top of the trees, it looks like someone has scribbled on them. and i look like i have cheek bones.
Buff-cheeked Gibbons: Their calls are loud and musical, with a throat pouch resonating the call in males. Daily calling, which begins on waking, maintains pair bonds and warns other family groups away from the territory claimed by a pair. The average home range for a pair of gibbons is about 8.5 acres, but varies from family to family. Boundary disputes arise about once every 5 days, and are resolved, usually without injury, by aerial displays, whooping, and chasing.
Centennial Olympic Park.
Lighting was terrible and the bird was in the dense shade of the canopy but hey, it's a grey-cheeked thrush! Always a treat to see one in migration from the far north. Last year there was also one of these in Centennial Olympic Park. Amazing place each fall. Sort of like Christmas every week, waiting to see what birds may show up there.

So glad we have a larger block with gardens on three sides.
Our side wall is the wall for the neighbour's garden, but we have a view to the bush, so lucky!
Must pay another visit to see how they get around the back!

This is a particularly busy photo, with people to one side, road markings, a lamp post, and then signs upon signs for the back doors of the various hotels, clinics, and shops.
