The cheeks of hamsters (Cricetus cricetus) can really expand to hold a lot of seeds.

Since she was born, Sydney has been all cheeks. I love her round pudgy face. They are very squeezable, pinchable, kissable, etc. I should set up a booth and charge ppl to squeeze them. Would you pay? ;)
A White-cheeked Barbet greedily eying a Custard Apple. This is a species of barbet found in southern India. It is very similar to the more widespread brown-headed barbet. It is endemic to the forest areas of the Western Ghats and adjoining hills and is commonly found in the backyard. Like all other Asian barbets they are mainly frugivorous although they may sometimes eat insects and they use their bills to excavate nest cavities in trees.
Coming across a woodpecker like this at home would be a fine spot, however in Costa Rica it is just one more colourful bird.

I'm standing
on the edge of a precipice and
the ground under my feet
is burning
your steps
and my cheeks
are burning
and then you touch
my arms
are burning
and you kiss again
my lips
are burning until red-hot
after that you touch
differently
and I'm burning
wholly
some day
I know
I won't rise from the ashes
Here's the same, or another, chippie! He had his fill at this feeder, then jumped to the platform feeder for more sunflower seeds, then jumped into the cherry tree out of frame on the right! I don't know how he could move so fast with such full cheeks!
This year, the Morecambe Punk Festival will be 13-16 November. Or so I discovered from this shop window display.

"Heaven, Im in heaven
And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak
And I seem to find the happiness I seek
When were out together dancing cheek to cheek
Heaven, Im in heaven
And the cares that hung around me through the week
Seem to vanish like a gamblers lucky streak
When were out together dancing (swinging) cheek to cheek

Cheek to Cheek
A highlight of our trip to west Texas this past week was this Golden-cheeked Warbler that we encountered on our way west in San Antonio. It took us a while to finally see the bird but our patience paid off. Our time with him wasn’t long but I think we made the most of it. It was amazing how fast my friend stopped complaining about his foot pain from walking once after we saw him!!!

now I know boats don't strictly speaking have cheeks, but if they did, I guess they'd look like this!
Seen along Australia's eastern coastal strip and in the far south west corner of WA. Similar in appearance to the New Holland Honeyeater.
Welcomed this migratory gray-cheeked thrush into my back garden early afternoon Sept 7. A first sighting and photograph for me. I saw it again just before 8 pm after a heavy rainfall as it was foraging in the soft earth.

I adore the beautiful Spiny-cheeked Honeyeater, a bird whose plumage is a wonderful display of colour & detail. Its chin & chest are a soft, beautiful pale orange that fades into a wash of yellowish plumage with delicate brown streaking across the rest of its body. However, the bird's most distinguishing feature is the "spiny cheek", a bold patch of white bristles that radiate out from beneath the eye, giving its face a striking, feathery texture. All of these features, combined with its coral-pink, black-tipped bill, make this honeyeater a true standout of the mallee.
