October is Breast and Liver Cancer awareness month.

By raising awareness and educating individuals about these cancers is the least we can do

to rid the world of these dreadful diseases, regular checkups are most important.

Please do all you can to help your favorite charity, researchers work very hard for the common cause,

Just remember this, ignorance is Fatal. Ask questions, be curious.

The word Cancer does not kill, like many of us raised in darkness,

I remember as a child and still hear those words, "That disease or knock on wood".

Thats funny I knock on wood everyday so I must be immune from it...LOL

I leave you with this, Love who you are!

At the hospital for a checkup with my haematologist prior to next week's scheduled round of chemo.

As I was leaving, I noticed that someone left this wheelchair in the parking garage, and I was immediately attracted to the light playing against the wheelchair and the soft shadows it cast. Daily shot done & dusted.

Just in for a pre-season checkup.

Alright so Molly ended up on some sort of space station for her checkup? I guess all hospitals are in use lately, but really, a space station???

Uhhg, had to go to the Dr. today... normal checkups are bad enough, but I had to go in for a biopsy. ouch. I hope to god I don't have to go thru all the surgeries and BS that I had to endure last year. I'll find out in 2 weeks what the deal is. Its going to be a long two weeks... It's hard staying positive when all I want is a negative.

Dr. says I have to quit smoking. I know this to be the truth, its just so hard when I'm this stressed... I have a love/hate relationship with these fuckers. *sigh* I'm gonna pick a quit date soon, and then fucking stick to it. hopefully this will be the last shot in which you see me smoking...

Took Max to his sixth monthly checkup with the vets today. There have been a few changes since his last trip and the poor old thing, he is starting to get cateracts and his eyesight is getting poor, having to sniff where we are and deaf, he doesn't come back unless we shout. But still fit and enjoying his walks, just got to mind he does not loose us....

Dentist checkup this morning. I was sat opposite this empty bench and thought the wall behind it was crying out for some artwork and this felt appropriate for waiting at the dentist.

I had to use this picture for today. Haha. Wally looks really sad and disappointed in me for leaving him up on the examination table. Sorry, bud! But his right eye is a lot better now. Thanks for all the love and well wishes!

That was one of those days: Jeremy want's to check Run-bot and Swim-bot, but they do not seem pleased about it... Seems, the robots take a place in my life more and more... LOL Dedicated to my friend Jeremy (www.moc-pages.com/home.php/99234 ), master of spins and humor! Enjoy and have FUN!

The other day I went to see my optometrist for my regular eye checkup. Aside from keeping with the pace of my presbyopia, my eye pressure needs checking every other year due to the presence of glaucoma in both sides of my family.

During the visit the doctor told me at a certain point "I hate to see blurry, I can't stand it". This made me realise something that should have been obvious. I don't mind to see blurry in the distance; as a matter of fact, I actually like it. I have always enjoyed de-focussing my sight on purpose. I do it from time to time since my childhood, for fun and to relax my eyes. This must explain to some degree something about my photography.

Summer 1967 this DC-8 53 at Lisbon Portela International Airport with changing crew, getting new catering and technical checkup after crossing the South Atlantic Ocean.

Lisbon was a main airport for KLM on her flights from Europe to the Dutch Antiles, Surinam, Middle America and on going to several stops in the northern part of South America.

Very often this was Caracas, to arrive finally in Lima Peru.

These flights were often in cooperation with the Venezolean company Viasa. As mentioned on this aircraft.

In the same time Lisbon was a special stop for the flights linking Europe to Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Montevideo, Buenos Aires and Santiago the Chile twice a week.

Imaging now a days all these cities are mostly linked by daily flights without intermediate stops to their European home base!

This special Douglas DC-8-53 PH-DCI with her four Pratt and Whitney jet engines was named Sir Isaac Newton.

This aircraft came into service with KLM in April 1961 and was active for Royal Dutch Airlines till November 1975.

After, it passed through many airline companies before it was broken up in 1985 in Florida. Construction number 45613

This photo, shows the boarding and disembarking crew after and for a few days rest in Lisbon, Portugal.

This photo was made by the captain of this flight Max Leyfeldt. This picture is what remained from the dia-positive.

~~Update........everything AOK.

Spring seems to have actually arrived here. Temps in the 50s and 60s as faaaaar as they can forecast.

The subject of this NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope Picture of the Week is the spiral galaxy NGC 337, located about 60 million light-years away in the constellation Cetus (The Whale).

This image combines observations made at two wavelengths, highlighting the galaxy’s golden centre and blue outskirts. The golden central glow comes from older stars, while the sparkling blue edges get their colour from young stars. If Hubble had observed NGC 337 about a decade ago, the telescope would have spotted something remarkable among the hot blue stars along the galaxy’s edge: a brilliant supernova.

The supernova, named SN 2014cx, is remarkable for having been discovered nearly simultaneously in two vastly different ways: by a prolific supernova hunter, Koichi Itagaki, and by the All Sky Automated Survey for SuperNovae (ASAS-SN). ASAS-SN is a worldwide network of robotic telescopes that scans the sky for sudden events like supernovae.

Researchers have determined that SN 2014cx was a Type IIP supernova. The “Type II” classification means that the exploding star was a supergiant at least eight times as massive as the Sun. The “P” stands for plateau, meaning that after the light from the supernova began to fade, the level reached a plateau, remaining at the same brightness for several weeks or months before fading further. This type of supernova occurs when a massive star can no longer produce enough energy in its core to stave off the crushing pressure of gravity. SN 2014cx’s progenitor star is estimated to have been ten times more massive than the Sun and hundreds of times as wide. Though it has long since dimmed from its initial brilliance, researchers are still keeping tabs on this exploded star, not least through the Hubble observing programme which produced this image.

[Image Description: A barred spiral galaxy on a dark background. The galaxy’s central region is a pale colour due to older stars, contains some pale reddish threads of dust, and is brighter along a broad horizontal bar through the very centre. Off the bar come several stubby spiral arms, merging into the outer region of the disc. It is a cool blue colour and contains some bright sparkling blue spots, both indicating young hot stars.]

Back Story .........................................

Last night the bone doctor gave me a pass

as long as caution is used on the scooter !

One more week of prescriptions then see

him again for a checkup .

FYI:

As long as the topic about scooters has been

brought up that means "road safety", right ? ....

In the past Thailand was rated the second most

dangerous roads in the world only surpassed by

war torn Libya ! Couple days ago Thailand has

been raised to the worlds most dangerous roads !

Holiday season is just starting and that my friends

is when the roads are the most dangerous of all !

Showed up as daylight broke across the horizon.

Mama and Rocky were waiting right in front of the

gate at The Dog Palace. Lots of huge excitement.

Bingo Room was opened, feed bags were prepared

then off we went. First stop is at the nuns. Tried to get

the dogs to cooperate in wearing the Christmas hat.....

Didn't have much luck in doing that. Next stop is the

spirit house where Mama,Rocky and Legs the Zoomer

enjoyed their Christmas dinner, breakfast ................... ;-)~

Soon after The Hooligans were cared for then back to

The Dog Palace. Next is brush Mama, clip her toe nails

then pack her up and take off for the dog doctors clinic.

Double round trip today cuz Mama needed her rabies

shot, she's good for one year now.

OK now the info on this photo.

Rocky and Mama had finished eating so it was Legs turn

at the trough .Nobody would wear the Christmas Cone

so it was just set next to the kibble. Mama is suspicious

of the cone and has come back up the stairs to make sure

I'm safe.

Legs The Zoomer has just realized Mama has returned an

is also being very cautious in case Mama wants to eat again !

No monkey problems today, have no idea why they were so

docile. Maybe it was the moon or just our good luck ?

It's early afternoon and time for my breakfast, then a long nap.

Merry Christmas an Happy Holidays.

From Jon's pack of mischief makers..;-)

I'll keep working on getting a photo

with one of the dogs & the cone hat.

Thank You.

Waiting for my eyes to be dilated at eye appointment on Monday. Everything checked out great!!

I go for my checkup scan on Monday

❤️❤️❤️

Jack's eight month checkup was this afternoon...I always clear my schedule when he has a checkup...sure, I want to see the results of his growth from the last visit to our pediatrician and of course I want to know he is healthy. But selfishly I love going to the pediatricians office because I get great lighting with my off camera flash in the examining room. I have tons f shots from today and past visits. Shots from past visits can be seen in my "Project 365 Jack" set.

Floydd's checkup with the specialist went well.

We are going to start him on chemo......16 pills...one every other day.

I'll start treatment as soon as I'm back home.

Larry and I came down to Wildwood for a long weekend.

It's Classic Car weekend, and although I wasn't to crazy about the idea of leaving Floydd , I know he's in good hands with my son.

I'm so glad we came down!

It was a simply beautiful weekend. The weather couldn't have been better! Our good friends Bob and Danielle came down too, and we all had a fun time going to the show and just hanging out.

I didn't realize just how MUCH I needed some social time!

It did so much for lifting my spirits!

Sorry I'm behind in my commenting. Hopefully I'll be able to get to it some time in the next day or so.

Meanwhile, I figured I should post a few shots just to let my friends know I'm still kicking!

Have a great day Peeps...catch up with y'all real soon!

A 65 year old goes to see the doctor for a checkup. So, the doctor says how old was your father when he died?

My father died? Who told you my father died? He’s eighty five and doing very well.

The doctor says Oh, I’m so sorry. How old was your grandfather when he died?

Who said my grandfather died. My grandfather is a hundred and five and doing very well. In fact, he’s getting married today.

The doctor says Wow, that’s amazing! Your grandfather is a hundred and five years old and he wants to get married.

Who said he wants to get married? His parents are forcing him to.

NASA’s Psyche spacecraft passed its six-month checkup with a clean bill of health, and there’s no holding back now. Navigators are firing its futuristic-looking electric thrusters, which emit a blue glow, nearly nonstop as the orbiter zips farther into deep space. The spacecraft already is beyond the distance of Mars and is using ion propulsion to accelerate toward a metal-rich asteroid, where it will orbit and collect science data. This photo captures an operating electric thruster identical to those being used to propel NASA’s Psyche spacecraft. The blue glow comes from the charged atoms, or ions, of xenon.

The spacecraft launched from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida atop a SpaceX Falcon Heavy on Oct. 13, 2023. After leaving our atmosphere, Psyche made the most of its rocket boost and coasted beyond the orbit of Mars.

Abused & Abandoned Jungle Dogs.

This photo is from yesterday the 1st.

Today the 2nd The Zoomer went in

for a post-op checkup, all is well ;-)

She will be going back on Friday.

Plan was to make a deal on a Houdini

proof dog crate but at the last minute

an emergency case came rushing in.

So, on Friday we will go for the crate.

Tomorrow morning another trip to the

temple will happen so The Pipsqueak

can be fed. A stop at the clinic on the

way out will happen and an inoculation

for Molly will also be picked up for her.

Even if the Houdini crate was acquired

today we still aren't quite ready for

customers. The donated funds

4 the crate was in the secret

envelope stashed in my

pocket ready to go.

So another delay isn't a deal-breaker.

The said crate is there, no problem.

But before we start the neuter

party, funds must also be

ready to accomplish the

planned project too.

Thank You.

Did it rain on the trip today ? Huge rain, and still raining.

Facts about this photo,

The "Spirit House" has been destroyed by the primates.

It's absolutely filthy from primate poop and pee.

Mosquitoes, flies and other insects are plentiful.

Broken items are scattered about everywhere.

The smell is horrific, breathe through your mouth.

But be warned, flying insects taste terrible !

Rocky goes for his yearly inoculations in a couple days.

Lots to do and you will always be informed of everything.

Thank you for your comments and donations.

Be prepared, for this is going to be one long reading and is going to be in several parts

Ok, so friday, I go home, and took my backpack, do a last mental checkup that I have everything, and head back to office. Having the backpack there, knowing what was inside, was making me so nervous, like if suddenly the backpack would break out and let the red dress be visible there in the open, jeje, how paranoid I am.

Next to go to airport, Oh my, to pass security, this time they didn't check that much, so the checking person only saw the shoes.

Then problem nuber one, it took ages for the airplane to take off, and once arriving Mexico City, it did like three fly arounds, SO it landed like one hour and a half late. I was worry, I was going late for the make-up appointment, way too late. Had to call to let them know.

Luckily, the subway transportation is quite fast in Mexico city. So in about 30 minutes, I was arriving to the area, quickly let my stuff at the hotel and run to Blush (the make-up place)

When I arrived, it was already full with people, there was already a line of girls waiting for make-up, lucky for me I called to tell I was going late, so they considered my place. So quickly got rid of the boy clothes, and took the red dress, and slowly turned myself into the Jessica mode, without make up. Bad thing that happened, while trying to put the necklace, it broke :(.

So had to wait in line a little bit, for my turn to make-up, did some bit of chatting while waiting, and also got to see how they applied makeup in a couple of girls. There was one makeup that left me in disbelief, wow, the transformation was beyond reality.

Then it was my turn, I was less nervous this time so got to enjoy more the part of letting someone else do the makeup, Still my eyes got scared so easy. But it was nice to feel how powder was applied, eyeliner, lipstick. Finally, it was time to put the wig back on. And walk toward the mirror. Wow, I really liked the result, specially the eyes.

I sit down, trying to recover myself, and did some chatting with some of the other girls that were there. A few time later it was photo time, a few pics of me, a few pics with the other girls, a few pics of the whole group.

Was being there, just chatting from time to time, when someone asked if I wanted something from the store, the oportunity to go out, so I said "No, but can I go with you??"

For today, thats it, I will continue other day

Kisses

Jessica, the nervous kid
