Week 45
This week's challenge was "opposites attract." I saw a few photos of chess pieces when I was trying to come up with a photo idea. So I put my own spin on it with a nice handmade chess set I have and an external flash.

The British are coming! All variety of marques from the UK convene on the Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline for British Car Day 2012. Lotus, Morgan, MG, Triumph, TVR, Mini, Jaguar all coming out of the woodworks to show off their lines, curves, engineering, heritage, and passion.
Not 100% sure but I think this building has the highest elevation roof in Red Deer. The stained concrete exterior makes me think of something that you might see in photos of the former Soviet Union.

St. Magnus Cathedral, Kirkwall.
The Romanesque Cathedral begun in 1137 has fine examples of Norman architecture, attributed to English masons who may have worked on Durham Cathedral. The masonry uses red sandstone quarried near Kirkwall and yellow sandstone from the island of Eday, often in alternating courses or in a chequerboard pattern to give a polychrome effect.
