(Feb. 23, 2009) A quick game of chess with my son on the kitchen counter. The Decipticons quickly decimate the Autobots and begin to surround Optimus Prime (King). Bonecrusher (Rook in the far corner) seals Optimus' fate.

Others in the picture: Barricade (Bishop), Blackout (Knight), Starscream (Queen), Decepticon Ensignia (Pawns), Autobot Ensignia (Pawns).

This was the point at which I capitulated. Steve just had too many hardened, undamaged ships on the map for my 2 patrols to handle. Perhaps if I had brought the Pandarus, I could've evened things up, but I think I just need to expand the fleet a bit more than what I brought to the table this day.
