So hi!

Let's take a little stroll down memory lane.

I'm on the left. Standing on the ground.

That short thing on my right is my best friend, K. She's ON A CHAIR. WEARING HEELS.

High school graduation. Aren't we cute? We're adorable. It's all downhill from there. Wish we'd known that then.

Anyway -- I love her. She's awesome.

And because you love me and you want to know how awesome she is, you need to head over and

Check Her Out 'cause I've convinced her to take a selfie for 30 consecutive days and so far she's doing a Mighty Fabulous Job.

Go give her some love, k?

Here is Ron (southarmstudio) checking wind speed down on the north pier of Charlevoix. Winds were blowing about 30 mph or more.

Before entering the venue, the participants need to check in, in a process similar to what you would expect on an airport (without the fluid restrictions and scanners, obviously), this to make sure that everyones expensive gear is safe during the easter.

I have not just been busy with work but also at home. Had to do some DIY to fix up some new furnitures. Of course, nothing gets by Mr. Inspector without a through checking...

I caught Flat Eric here trying to pinch some party food, but he said he was "merely checking it".

He was somewhat disappointed that they were still frozen.

The new East Link light rail alternatives through downtown Bellevue are creating a lot of interest. More than 150 members of the public turned out this week at Bellevue City Hall to look at the maps and drawings, talk to Sound Transit staff, and give their thoughts and ideas about the options. The Sound Transit Board is scheduled to reconsider the downtown Bellevue preferred alternative in late April and then issue the Final Environmental Impact Statement in late 2010 or early 2011. The final routing and station location decision is scheduled for early 2011.

At the lily pond in front of the botanical building in Balboa Park. The Great White heron was not too seriously interested in the duck, but was keen on looking into the pond for a meal opportunity.

Miniature SJ7 Pulsejet Engine

Built by Mike Early, Arizona, circa 1996

Perhaps the most famous pulsejet engine is the Argus VI "Buzz Bomb" made by the Germans in World War II. Fuel was sprayed directly into the engine through a 3 x 3 array of nine nozzles behind a valve grid - a direct-injection pulsejet. The fuel supply was pressurized by the tank of compressed air that was also used to drive the gyros and operate the control surfaces of the VI airframe.

This miniature pulsejet engine operates exactly like the VI. It burns regular gasoline and has a variable thrust range from 1/2 to 6 1/2 pounds. Mike Early developed and built the engine, and made the aluminum castings for the intake. He fabricated the combustion chamber and tailpipe from stainless-steel sheet metal. Early produced approximately 12 models from 1996 to 1998.
