Title: Double Check
Material: Bronze
Zuccotti Park
New York City, USA
Double Check (1982) was located in Liberty Plaza Park across from the World Trade Center. Photographs of the damaged and dust-covered statue were among the iconic photographs taken following the September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001. A restored statue has been returned to the now-renamed Zuccotti Park.
Enjoying a Wee Heavy while checking out the Archie McPhee catalog that just arrived. Who doesn't need bacon gumballs, or bacon mints, or bacon floss or bacon soap, or bacon balm.......?! (yes those who know I'm a vegetarian think I've got issues the way I talk about bacon).
Back to the beer. I enjoyed this. I guess I lack in trying to describe most of the beer I drink. For the most part I know what I like and what I don't and that's that. I'm trying to get better about that. This I found to be just enough. Not too light and not too heavy in taste. Thin head that disappeared quickly.

A B&W study of Mark and Magnus checking their circuit times at a Wednesday night training sessions at the Highland Institute of Sport Inverness. Being 15 and in the "serious athlete" training stream is very hard work. Racing/Training every weekend, and training session three nights a week - in a Highland November - leaves little time for any other activities, even school.
And it's quite hard on the Mums and Dads as well.

Before climbing down the stump, he looked all around to make sure the coast was clear. Either he didn't consider me a threat or my camo netting fooled him. More in comments...
This year's Santa continued the streak of good Santas. This year, after she talked to him with her device and gave him her list, he told her that he was giving her a gift that none of the other kids were getting. He reached into the chest next to his chair and gave her a big red sleighbell, ala Polar Express. Some of the other kids in line got jealous. Well, fuck 'em.
The whole scene made an elf cry. Well, if by "elf" you mean "mall flunky".
It's possible to straighten my legs in the bathtub - by standing up. The bathtub was deep and the water pressure was the strongest I've ever experienced.
DJing, turntablism, scratching, whatever you know it as, whether you recognise the difference between a rub and a crab or if you just dig that "wikki-wikki" sound on your favorite club hit, you have to acknowledge the role of the TURNTABLIST, the DJ, in contemporary music and culture.
These are the cats that gave new life to vinyl, that re-birthed the record player, that re-invented the wheel-of-steel.
GLOCKSTARS and LIFE CHECK present the screening of the award winning "SCRATCH", a documentary that goes into the world of the DJ to discover both its origins and its current manifestations.
GUEST ARTIST, our own SA DMC champion THA CUTT (Spindle Crew) alongside DJ HAMMA join us to present a LIVE DEMONSTRATION and authentic scratch heavy set to give us a taste of how a true Turntablist operates.
Together with some O.G. Durban microphone rockers and the freshest venue for original events this promises to be a proper evening of cutting edge culture
