Oh boy, another hobby. I've recently become fascinated by watercolors. I don't have any talent for drawing or painting (Those who can't draw or paint, photograph - lol.), but I love playing with color. Watercolors are pretty forgiving as far as paints go, and I'm hoping that working with them with boost my creativity and understanding of light and composition, which can only benefit my photography.

This is what I spend money on. The Auto & Transport is almost entirely Public Transportation (CTA). A little too much of Food & Dining is in the sub-categories "Alcohol & Bars" and "Work Lunch". Uncategorized is ATM transactions -- mostly towards things I shouldn't spend as much money on (bars, cabs, fast food, candy).
The taxes are completely inaccurate... that is of course what I owed in taxes above and beyond :\

I keep all my colour charts in a ziploc bag (unclosed) so that I can refer to them as I like. There are probably some in various sketchbooks, too ... but the bag makes it easy to haul them out and drink in the wonderful feast of colours and textures. No calories.

For 7DOS, unusual pov. Taken looking down at a folding colour chart (for embroidery threads) positioned on a mirror.
Another in my Famous Strangers project of people who are not the famous person but share the name.
I was moonlighting at a polling station on the day of the vote for the West Midlands Mayor my job was to tick off the people from a list when they gave me their name and address and David McWilliams arrived I remembered a song that was heavily promoted on Radio Caroline in the 60s called “The Days Of Pearly Spencer “sung by David McWilliams.
The sung was never played on BBC Radio One because of its connection with the pirate station Caroline and didn’t chart here but sold a million copies worldwide reaching number one across Europe.
David came in during a quiet period of polling so I was able to have a chat but I missed out on Huey Lewis who came along at a peak time and I didn’t even get chance to arrange a shoot at a later date
When I was photographing people for the 100 Strangers project I found some of my models had famous names: Richard Burton, Paul Newman etc and I remembered one of my lecturers at Uni introduced himself as The Real Richard Burton the other is an imposter because Richard Burton the actor’s real name was Jenkins.

Here is my chart of all known named LEGO colors. This started as an attempt to collect colors of 2x4s, and turned into collecting every color in as close as possible to the size and shape of a 2x4. There are some color names LEGO is known to have used, not included in this chart. However, it is unknown what parts or sets were ever made in those colors, or if they were used at all beyond trial pieces.
The labels on each color show the official name (top) and the common AFOL community name (bottom).

Color mixing chart from a paperback art techniques book published by Grumbacher, a respected manufacturer of artist supplies. I learned to paint oils with Grumbacher paints.
This scan is from 2010 so I need to find the book to get the publication date.

So, I had to go JPEG.....something i dislike because of the minor(sometimes massive) pixel scramblation.
