"Advocacy is a necessity that doesn't mix with complacency."*
"... change is always possible if you're willing to work for it, and fight for it, and above all, believe in it... the only way to truly bring about the future we seek is if we're willing to work together as one nation, and one people."
- Obama, Change We Can Believe In

Games for Change, American Express, and Gigantic Mechanic hosted a hands-on game jam at the NYC Park Exchange event on August 22 to celebrate the National Park Service’s Centennial.
Participants learned the basics of game design and rapidly prototyped games that encouraged people to interact with the park, showing how games can inspire environmental stewardship and civic engagement.
Meet the Green Change team. We invite you to go green and help fight climate change with us.
Our climate action network can help you reduce global warming in your own life, with the help of videos, local events, direct engagement and online tools. We inspire people to take climate action in creative ways: we make it feel good to go green, through helpful tips, positive feedback, and social connections.
Our growing team of activists, artists and environmentalists is led by multimedia innovator Fabrice Florin, with team leads Marilyn Price, Al Grumet and many friends and neighbors. We aim to support our partners in the North Bay climate action network.
Many thanks to all our contributos for your wonderful support of Green Change. We are honored to work with you and look forward to helping more people go green together.
Change is coming.

A colloboration with TDPS, Cal Performances, BCNM, CNMAT and Music, Art Practice, and the ARC | Arts + Design Initiative, Change and Stillness is part open lab, part talk, and part live demonstration. This event will showcase the multi-disciplinary art making processes that utilized and engaged sensor technology for a new piece in this year's Berkeley Dance Project, where sculptor and alumni Bruce Beasley's Rondo sculptures are being choreographed via large-scale projections.
The guard is changed every hour on the hour Oct. 1 to March 31 in an elaborate ritual. From April 1 through September 30, there are more than double the opportunities to view the change because another change is added on the half hour and the cemetery closing time moves from 5 to 7 p.m.
An impeccably uniformed relief commander appears on the plaza to announce the Changing of the Guard. Soon the new sentinel leaves the Quarters and unlocks the bolt of his or her M-14 rifle to signal to the relief commander to start the ceremony. The relief commander walks out to the Tomb and salutes, then faces the spectators and asks them to stand and stay silent during the ceremony.
The relief commander conducts a detailed white-glove inspection of the weapon, checking each part of the rifle once. Then, the relief commander and the relieving sentinel meet the retiring sentinel at the center of the matted path in front of the Tomb. All three salute the Unknowns who have been symbolically given the Medal of Honor. Then the relief commander orders the relieved sentinel, "Pass on your orders." The current sentinel commands, "Post and orders, remain as directed." The newly posted sentinel replies, "Orders acknowledged," and steps into position on the black mat. When the relief commander passes by, the new sentinel begins walking at a cadence of 90 steps per minute.
The Tomb Guard marches 21 steps down the black mat behind the Tomb, turns, faces east for 21 seconds, turns and faces north for 21 seconds, then takes 21 steps down the mat and repeats the process. After the turn, the sentinel executes a sharp "shoulder-arms" movement to place the weapon on the shoulder closest to the visitors to signify that the sentinel stands between the Tomb and any possible threat. Twenty-one was chosen because it symbolizes the highest military honor that can be bestowed -- the 21-gun salute.
The Change Chocolate is a sweet reminder to all COP24 participants that the future of us children is at stake.
Inside the wrapper, the children wrote a letter to the delegates:
Dear Delegates,
The world’s three trillion trees are our most valuable assets
against the climate crisis. A trillion further trees could capture 25% of all human-made carbon emissions.
They help us to close the ambition gap.
Let’s plant and protect!
A Trillion Trees. Together. Now.
Thank you.
Plant-for-the-Planet is an independent and non-profit children and youth initiative. Our aim is to plant one trillion trees to fight the climate crisis. We invite individuals, companies and governments to make themselves climate neutral, now! Their trees give us time to transform to a carbon free economy. The Trillion Tree Campaign is a platform that offers small reforestation
projects visibility to receive commission free donations.
I initially planned to put the icicles row on top, changed my mind and then ... changed it back after round 2 was added.
This is a life-changing moment. Wasfia is a CLP participant, part of the new cohort, and she is about to purchase a new cow.
Minutes ago she was jostling in the market, trying to find a suitable cow to buy. Staff from CLP’s Implementing Organisations (IMOs) help her out, showing her how to check the cattle’s health, such as inspecting its teeth for disease and measuring its waist. She found herself a healthy heifer.
What makes this extra special is that it is a woman buying the cow. Normally on chars it is solely the role of men to go to the cattle market and buy. This is the first step for this woman in increasing her status in her household, leading to her greater empowerment.
Once she has this cow she will be able to nurture it to a sustainable livelihood, providing food and income for her family.
It's so strange to think that this land was much bigger millions of years ago. All of it has been changed by waves simply hitting the edge. Amazing.

Sometimes the subject just comes to you.
🚗 An Excalibur Series IV Phaeton (1982) pulled up right next to my house — after over 1000 km of flawless driving from Switzerland to Budapest.
Inspired by 1920s Mercedes SSKs but powered by an American V8, this hand-built retro-luxury machine was one of the most extravagant neoclassic cars of its era.
Shot on a vintage Pentacon 50mm f1.8, styled with an Ektar 100 film look to bring out the chrome and that deep red paint.
✨ The details speak for themselves.

🚗 Egy Excalibur Series IV Phaeton (1982) parkolt le a házunk mellett – több mint 1000 km-t tett meg Svájcból Budapestre, hiba nélkül.
A 20-as Ă©vek Mercedes SSK modelljei ihlettĂ©k, de amerikai V8-as hajtja. KĂ©zzel Ă©pĂtett, tĂşlzásba hajlĂł retro-luxus – igazi neoklasszikus kĂĽlönlegessĂ©g.

When this cantaloupe first sprouted it was green, and the size and shape of an avocado. I thought I had bought the wrong plant!! I looked online and sure enough that is how they start out... Today when I went to check it you can see the bottom starting to change into the skin of what more resembles a cantaloupe! Exciting!
