When walking in the "Glottertal" area, It was an interesting weather situation that day.
After a warm, sunny day, the temperatures began to fall in the late afternoon and the clouds came in over the peaks of the Black Forest. The steep vineyards were still illuminated by the sun - a lovely contrast.
By the way, the deep red vine leaves are those from Teinturier varieties.

With the CN Tower and a partially completed Sky Dome soaring in the background, battered CRHS equipment, including CN S-2 switcher No. 7988, stand exposed in the forefront on 19 March 1989. Development along the harbourfront created major changes to the old industrial landscape. One victim was the 7988 that ended up being scrapped.
The berries are turning red, the leaves are starting to change colour, as we slip from summer into autumn.

The leaves are starting to change. Our days are still stupidly hot but the nights at least are cooler. Hooray.

Rio Grande GP40 No. 3142, built Penn Central 3156 in Sept. 1968, pulls the UT40L across busy Geneva Road on Oct. 30, 1994. The train will soon come to a stop, and back 57-cars into the plant at Geneva Steel in Vineyard, Utah.
Most of what you see here is gone. Geneva Road is now a four lane overpass, the Rio Grande is long gone, and the steel mill, which shut down in 2001, was demolished and replaced with high density housing and retail developments.
Change. Mostly we like things the way they are. When change is mentioned people can grit their teeth, have a drink, light up a cigarette or maybe even sigh. What’s wrong with the way things are, they ask. I was just getting use to the way its been, so why change now? Things are working well so why? If we considered the changes might improve our lives or at least a certain outcome might benefit more than just you. Counting on things remaining as they are can be of comfort. Knowing the familiar means you know what’s ahead on you. Change means adjustments and who wants to adjust to anything when you’re already comfortable and content. Intelligence is having the ability to adjust to change. To only way we can grow is if we change. Folks who may not enjoy change live by their favorite cliche “The more things change the more they stay the same.” Our World has changed abruptly lately and if we “Change” our ways it may just be for the better. We might not like being confined to our homes but “Life Has Changed.” If we do the right thing now, life will change again for the better....Please smile through this and make the Change. Standing on top of a cliff and shooting the Green Bridge in Wales, reminded me that this is the decade where so many of us finally awoke to realise that climate change is here.
I hope that part of the outcome of the US presidential election will bring a window of opportunity to change matters for the better.
Rejoining the Paris climate accord would be an encouraging first step in the right direction.

Landscapes, especially forests aren't static. The lighting changes within minutes, weather can change in hours and what can seem static decay and move over time. With my project now running over five years you may even see changes in my photo-stream.
Nights are colder now. Weather is changing fast. It´s lovely to watch the moves of nature.
If it was planned or not...it works for now and hopefully forever and ever.
If only human beings could be as perfect...

A huge autumn leaf was nestled in blades of green grass in our backyard. A macro seemed to be most fitting as the sunlight gave backlighting to the leaf.
