Saw this walking into the city yesterday.

I found these clouds rising behind the hill. That day it was alternating between being clear, being cloudy, and sometimes being rainy. I thought the clouds and the weather signaled the changing seasons.

St Marys Lighthouse Whitley Bay in Northeast England. Captured last month on an early morning visit.

The Beautiful Changes

One wading a Fall meadow finds on all sides

The Queen Anne’s Lace lying like lilies

On water; it glides

So from the walker, it turns

Dry grass to a lake, as the slightest shade of you

Valleys my mind in fabulous blue Lucernes.

The beautiful changes as a forest is changed

By a chameleon’s tuning his skin to it;

As a mantis, arranged

On a green leaf, grows

Into it, makes the leaf leafier, and proves

Any greenness is deeper than anyone knows.

Your hands hold roses always in a way that says

They are not only yours; the beautiful changes

In such kind ways,

Wishing ever to sunder

Things and things’ selves for a second finding, to lose

For a moment all that it touches back to wonder.

Small changes eventually add up to huge results ♥

If nothing ever changed, we'd not have frogs, toads, or butterfly things...

I'm adding this picture of the Amber Fort in Jaipur as World Elephant Day is tomorrow. It was my next stop after Ranthambore Park as well. This trip encompassed so many varied destinations. It was a difficult, but an outstanding itinerary.

There are demonstrations occurring in the city as the day grows near. I will let you read the article.

I first saw elephants in Asia where they are used as working beats of burden. It seemed so common place I gave the practice little thought until I went to Africa and saw the gentle giants in the wild. My thoughts changed and it is nice to see that the Indian people are demanding change

The Evzones (Greek: Εύζωνες), is the name of several historical elite light infantry and mountain units of the Greek Army.

Today, it refers to the members of the Presidential Guard, an elite ceremonial unit that guards the Greek Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Presidential Mansion and the gate of Evzones camp in Athens. The Evzones are also known, colloquially, as Tsoliades.

Moral of the story: Check the weather forecast before engaging in a climate change protest.

I could not resist posting another image of the Nankeen Kestrel (Falco cenchroides) because of the different canvas I was able to capture the bird flying along the beach.

For the first time in 8 years, I find myself in red (hair). This means that all of my current profile pictures are entirely out of date - cause enough for some editing. I'm quite pleased with how this one turned out!

This was spotted in downtown Springfield, MO, on an appliance store. It caught my fancy...
