Winner in A Challenge for You...........Animal/s
Went to a talk about wolves this weekend. This wolf has been somewhat domesticated and even plays with the owners children under supervision.

This month's challenge for the Melange On Etsy is "Umbrella". Check out the blog here:
I've been drawing lots of girls lately, so naturally, I wanted to draw a girl with an umbrella. I sketched the image in pencil first, inked an outline using a Sharpie Pen (I've since switched to Copic Multiliner Pens... nice!), then used Copics and ShinHan Touch Twin markers to shade. The yellows and pinks are very vibrant and neon in person, but became faded when I scanned. (Not sure why that is... hmm...) I love her boots most of all! Also, I love it when I see people with very bright umbrellas because they add a much needed spot of colors to a dull day.

The New York State Department of Health is pleased to announce the five finalists for the Aging Innovation Challenge, a crowdsource competition developed in partnership with HeroX to generate innovative solutions to assist older adults and their caregivers in carrying out activities of daily living.
The Challenge was open to all undergraduate and graduate students attending a college or university in New York State. The finalists were narrowed down from a field of 24 semi-finalists, which were originally selected from 35 submissions.
Finalists made a 15-minute presentation demonstrating their prototype and how it will impact older adults and their caregivers. (Mike Wren/Department of Health)
Last Saturday (10-07-2010) Berry and I went to the Solar Boat Challenge in the provence Friesland in The Netherlands. It was fun to look at these boats.

A CH-53 Stallion from the unit HMH 462 taxing to its location at the San Carlos Airport on Friday for the Vertical Challenge Airshow.
I was doing inspections and when I came back this Challenger was in the parking lot. It looks better in natural light than under the artificial lights at the LA Autoshow.

I somehow want to give oil painting another try. These are my oil and acrylic paints I used during my first year in college. I originally wanted to use oil but the deadline given to us pressured me so much, and oil took forever to dry, I eventually switched to acrylic and left the rest of my oil colors unused.
Just when I was about to really give up on these, I was really inspired by Aina~ she’s a blockmate of mine~ Her paintings are beautiful. I envy her because she’s managing to do what she loves despite the hectic school schedule. She’s really nice and humble~ I even asked her to teach me how to paint /o/ I guess nothing’s wrong there since the best way to learn is to learn from your inspiration, right? I don’t have any ambitions of being as good as her, I just want to relieve my thirst for a new skill.
So much for being a “Jack of all trades, master of none”. I can’t help it, really. I feel easily uneasy whenever I get stuck into one hobby or two for a long time. I always find myself hungry for new learning and skill. I’m not sure why I prefer to be like that either — I guess the only thing I can say is, it’s my way of enjoying life :)

OMG (sign of a weak mind). I miss doing this kind of rants and I miss doing this kind of processing in my photos. And speaking of new learning. I’ve always wanted to give a 365 photo challenge a try, so here :) Wish me luck!
From my balcony. I never knew this flower was supposed to bloom. :)

I think the Challenger was one of the better-looking wannabe 4X4s of its era, even if they did "steal" Dodge's name!
