the Macquarie University Department Sustainability Challenge is a model copied by other organisations around the globe. Departments earn stars by undertaking activities that foster a sense of community on campus as well as benefiting the environment. Departments track their progress via an online scorecard that is linked to a live leader board, competing for prizes (sustainable and fair trade, of course!)

Her 'mermaid' necklace is a tangled mass of twisted and hammered metal strands punctuated by glass beads and pearls.
Hammered silver spirals and swirls contrast with silver and tinned copper wire crochet strands.
Lustrous aqua tint blister and rice pearls offset the sparkle of faceted blue and green glass beads.
The aqua green swirl focal bead is caught up in a mesh of wire crochet and fastened by a hammered silver spiral into an asymmetric clasp.
Metal and bead woven into a soft encompassing mesh.
Thenecklace is based around a crocheted mesh of silver wire (silver plated and tinned copper) and fastens with an asymmetric focal bead handformed clasp. Two strands comprise wire crochet and seed beads. The remaining two strands comprise individually handformed and hammered silver-plated wire spirals and swirls, joined by wired pearls or glass beads.
Necklace measures approximately 20 inches long.
She also created a matching cuff and earrings.
