Outland - The Endless Quest
Here, in Outland, the very few visitors have no certainty.
Except, perhaps, that the answers to the quest that draw them here, hide in the magic of the shadows and mysterious lights of this arid land, where all life is infinitely modest and precarious. It's a minimalist, "essentialist" world that sends you back to yourself as a mirror.
Visitors who venture into it are free spirits, engaged in a quest for knowledge, meaning and endless fulfillment. A quest where each answer generates new questions. A quest that does not satisfy the "ready to think » to which the crowd adheres.
Few people leave Outland having found something to bring. But everyone leaves this land having the impression of having become, a little more, the person he wanted to be.

Into the woods
Since the dawn of humanity, trees, woodlands and great forests have exercised an irresistible attraction to the human soul. Charles Darwin, the famous author of the theory of the Origin of Species once wrote, after his many travels around the world: “Among the scenes which are deeply impressed on my mind, none exceed in sublimity the primeval forests… No one can stand in these solitudes unmoved, and not feel that there is more in man than the mere breath of his body. ”
I happen to think that one of the keys to understanding nature is, perhaps, wonder, that intense poetic emotion that makes us dive into the depths of the human psyche, arousing, joy or sadness, fear or hope, but also, this intimate certainty of living in communion with… the thousand-year-old murmur of trees.

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a blue day at Color my World Daily but once again I’m skipping it this week since we have a very cool theme at Looking close on Friday: Flora on Black Background.
This one was rather difficult for me, for several reasons… As we all know by now, any theme involving « flora » is a challenge… A challenge to stay away from my neighbor’s plants (since they are truly so much better than mine !!) and to find a subject to photograph. Also, I have to adjust to my new schedule with kids at school… And the last reason (and the most time consuming one) for this « difficult » picture taking process: I have a new challenge on my Apple Watch…For September I have to burn a total of 45 400 calories … People, you have no idea how much cardio I have to do in one day just to achieve this challenge and get my September badge … but since I have a very addictive personality: I will get that badge even if I have to run during the night lol So with all that going on, I have less time for photography…
As you can see in my picture, I found the perfect plant: an egg grapevine !! FYI: the grapevine comes from my backyard and the egg from my fridge !! We can state with certainty that no egg or grapevine was stolen for this picture !!
Mucho, mucho amor for you all !! And see you soon !!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!!

This is Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. One of the most photographed location on the Outerbanks. But my January Outerbank series would not be completed without a photo of this iconic location.
It was a great evening, and we were lucky the clouds were clearing when we arrived there. The side light from the moon allowed the use of a relative short shutter speed and ISO.

MISSION TERRE V2 1

MISSION EARTH V2 1
Earth North Pole, December 3218
"This December 21, 3218, a first group of humans whose ancestors fled the land that had become uninhabitable - this sad period, know in history as the Great Migration - lands on these desolate and unrecognizable lands of the northern hemisphere. Their mission: to seek answers to the following questions: is the evolution of the Earth irreversible? Can life ever prosper again? Under what conditions?

THALASSA - Oceanic planet, refuge of humans, 3208
The Songs of Distant Earth, an epic poem, written by a writer named Cassiopeia Clarke, until then unknown, moves the souls of the inhabitants of the planet. This poem awakens in them the ancestral pain of the migration of their ancestors, of the loss of their home planet, their culture, their history. The heroine of the poem feels this pain, but also something more intimate and strange at the same time: an impossible connection with this distant Earth - her Songs - which would reveal to her that the Earth still and always shelters the unique vibrations of life. Under public pressure, the planetary authorities decide to organize a scouting expedition to Earth. Poet Clarke is invited to join the scientific team to the spacecraft Earth One.

NORTH POLE OF THE EARTH, three months after arrival
Mission Commander - "Mrs. Clarke, I'm sorry, but our science team has come to the conclusion that the destructive cycle that led to the Great Migration has not been reversed. The continents which are not flooded have become desert, swept by strong and scorching winds. We estimate that 80% of the planet's surface is uninhabitable by humans. With the exception of the Poles, the air is unbreathable. Life subsists in the depths of the northern seas, but in a very simplified form. The exploitation of mineral resources - what we really need - would be uneconomic according to our experts. Their recommendation is to end this mission. Do you have anything to add, Madame? "
In response, Mrs. Clarke offered her tears. It was better to hide her secret, this certainty that was now hers, that her Songs had told the truth, that life would take back its rights on this planet, but that it was absolutely vital to keep humans away. She wiped away her tears of joy and the preparations for the return to Thalassa began.

The Petrikirche (church of St Peter) in Lübeck - first mentioned in 1170 and extensively expanded at later times - and not finished until the 15th century. 1227-1250 the church got aisles on both sides of the nave. The church was then, in the 15th century expanded with two more aisles in Gothic style and it became a hall church (a church where the nave and aisles have approximately the same height).
The church was badly damaged by the allied bombings on Palm Sunday 1942 and was not completely restored until the 1980s. The church that had been so badly damaged was not just a Gothic church, but one known for its Baroque splendour which for the most part was destroyed and not reconstructed. But I think these slight remains of paint-work still visible in the ceilings are Baroque and not medieval. I do not know for certainty that this is the case here, but there are plenty of examples of medieval churches that after the Reformation had all there murals covered by white paint or plaster (more so then you would believe today, since modern techniques sometimes hade been able to remove the covering paint so you now can see them again), but that did not mean painted decorations were not added later on and in the 17th and 18th century it would be quite popular to paint on church walls and ceilings again. (The cross with JETZT, 'NOW' in German, is of course completely modern.)

Lake Montriond is located in the Haute-Savoie in the French Chablais region. The lake is frequented by fishermen and especially by walkers and hikers.
The lake of Montriond was created by the collapse of a part of the mountain of Nantaux in the North West. This geological event, which is not dated with certainty (from 4500 years to 3 or 4 centuries!), caused a dam on the torrent which ran at the bottom of the valley, hence the
formation of the lake.

Since I am very lucky to have a lot of wild life and especially birds at home and around it automatically it attracts predators...
Last year, I dug the snow and set up my little camouflage tent, which I adapted with a bed white sheet and diaper pins to hold it to try to blend in with the snow. I wanted to try to capture birds in flight with my new R5 camera and also be more discreet in case it (the Northern Shrike) just happened to show up around my feeders installation # 2 on the shores of the lake where the light is favorable part of the day and the favorite hunting spot for small birds for the Shrike. I had the opportunity to observe this superb Northern Shrike several times during my photography sessions. It even attacked Evening Grosbeaks successfully to my surprise although here favorite preys were much smaller birds and mouses. What I can tell you with certainty is that it is very fast and very skittish bird of prey...
Ps If you're wondering why I don't post more on Flickr and that I had neglected the media, well this morning I only have 0.06 Mbps of Download and 0.04 Mbps of Upload at home... It's a long time to post and comment on your photos every day...

Memoirs Of A Geisha_Truly Madly Deepy
I'll be your dream, I'll be your wish, I'll be your fantasy.
I'll be your hope, I'll be your love, be everything that you need.
I love you more with every breath, truly madly deeply do
I will be strong, I will be faithful 'cause I'm counting on a new beginning.
A reason for living. A deeper meaning.
I want to stand with you on a mountain.
I want to bathe with you in the sea.
I want to lay like this forever.
Until the sky falls down on me
And when the stars are shining brightly in the velvet sky,
I'll make a wish send it to heaven then make you want to cry
The tears of joy for all the pleasure and the certainty.
That we're surrounded by the comfort and protection of
The highest power, in lonely hours, the tears devour you
Songwriters: Daniel Jones / Darren Hayes
Usually crocuses bloom in spring. They are its landmark, and when we see their blossoms for the first time in the year, we know: the winter is coming to an end, and we become happy.
This little beauty is also a crocus, but a very special one: the autumn crocus, or also namend: the meadow saffron. It blooms in autumn - so to speak, it forms the other side of a frame that lays light and tender around the harsh, cold winter.
A floral version of the certainty that even the hardest winter will ever end.

I took this photo on Mothers day, but am only now getting around to posting it. My mom passed away five years ago and we were very close.
Now some of you may find this to be strange I can never remember my mother hugging me or saying she loved me, but have no doubt I knew with certainty she did.
My mother didn't say much in words, but her actions spoke very loudly and I knew if I was ever in need she was there for me.
My mom had the perfect balance in staying out of my affairs, while at the same time watching from a distance, to make sure I was safe.
so here I am remembering what was and knowing that even though she is physically gone she will always be inside me.

e tu mi insegnerai a restare.

Love me but don't stop my wings if I want to fly....
Don't lock me in a cage for fear of losing me.
Love me with the humble certainty of your Love and I won't go away anymore...
and if I'm in a distant sky I'll find the way of your thought...
and if you will be with me I will teach you to fly...
and you will teach me to stay.
Love me with every part of you so that I may belong to the soul and not to the body when I embrace you or kiss your form.
Love me without hiding that tenderness that makes you a child on my pupils and never be ashamed if I say "I love you".
Love me no matter what our Love will look like or where we will exchange another glance.

Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,

"One Billion Rising is the biggest mass action to end violence against women (cisgender, transgender, and those who hold fluid identities that are subject to gender-based violence) in human history. (The reality that): 1 in 3 women across the planet will be beaten or raped during her lifetime. That’s ONE BILLION WOMEN AND GIRLS. Every February, we rise – in countries across the world – to show our local communities and the world what one billion looks like and shine a light on the rampant impunity and injustice that survivors most often face. We rise through dance to express joy and community and celebrate the fact that we have not been defeated by this violence. We rise to show we are determined to create a new kind of consciousness – one where violence will be resisted until it is unthinkable."

This little modesty sprouted quite lonely from the middle of Frankenia laevis and it took me until just now to be able to identify it with any degree of certainty.
It seemed somehow familiar from my distant childhood, which is why the penny finally dropped: it is the dwarf form of the snapdragon, known in German as "Klaffmäulchen".

Wabi sabi vom Feinsten 😛

I am really not sure of its identification, I have looked for it in my guides and on the internet but I have not been able to identify it with certainty, if someone with more experience and wisdom can clarify it for me, it would be great
She was located in Lastres, a fishing village in Asturias, northern Spain in the month of September and right in the port.

This was back in June, right before society completely lost its mind, it was quite a warm evening if I recall of what had been an unusual Summer has it was very much stop and start weather wise. Usually I am not one for moon photos as simply I always try to do what everyone else isn't remaining organic and true to observation. When I saw the position however above the aerial I thought, hmm Aliens, Communication, Signal, "ET phone home" and the such like. I was once asked if I believe in Aliens and my response was as follows...
I don't believe in anything, none of this, I believe in nothing, at least not to the extent of absolute certainty. You can be 98.9% assured that this information, direction, idea, what have you is correct, but always retain that 1.1% seed of doubt, thus shall this germinate into further inquiry and further down the rabbit hole you go, to thus ascend to advanced knowledge and greater wisdom.
I trust everyone is well, have a great weekend and so as always, thank you! :)
I took this after a walk near Wernigerode in Central Germany, a beautiful Sunset was just beginning through the trees and I just couldn't pass up such a wonderful opportunity to capture it!
On another note...
So much is laying at stake at the present moment in the world, so much! We have a glorious chance, a chance to stand up against the tyranny of the world and the cowards as we acquiesce to their orders and demands. There is a spiritual vibration, like a sleeping Lion, that is beginning to stir and the powers that should not be are aware of this.
We are the consciousness, we are the awakening, it is now time to either do exactly that, wake up, or enslavement is the inevitable result. Take yourself from the mind and into the heart and a whole new perspective and thus a whole new world awaits you!
Listen in full to this video, just give it a chance...
And before anyone accuses me of believing in "Conspiracy Theories" allow me to introduce to you a philosophy I follow...
I believe nothing, none of it, not a thing, at least not to the point of absolute certainty, you can be 98.9% certain you can have truck with this information, data, script, dialogue what have you, but always retain the 1.1% seed of doubt; for that shall germinate into further inquiry and further answers, and thus further down the rabbit hole you go to greater knowledge, experience and the most divine of all, wisdom!
Enlightenment or Enslavement, the choice is yours!
I hope everyone has a great week ahead and as always, thank you! :)

The artworks are showed now at my new Art Gallery THE EDGE
Thanks to my partner Eli Medier for his poem:
"Deep night
falling moon
high in the sky
Smell of ripe grass
The new season
brings us her heart deep static
I'd like to look like you
But I have questions
pressing into the mind
like thunderstorms
And yet life had dropped
from above glistening water
full of certainties"

I will leave the past with grieves .. wipe the moment with oblivion
the life had not have any meaning without you .
My Beloved ... I'm a parched heart ..
the only certainty is that there remained is to entrust our troubles in the hands of saints, but I am not sure that their hands are not holes ...
Hope is definitely not the same thing as optimism. It is not the conviction that something will turn out well, but the certainty that something makes sense, regardless of how it turns out.

Birds of prey… Wonderous or nightmarish depending on your point of view
Carnivores have been around as far back as you care to go and the taking of life is as natural as the rain falling from the sky
That is the nature of things
And that fact will be universal., so if man ever does shoot for the stars we had better take care
Because it's an absolute certainty that If there is life out there (just like at your local reserve) there's also naturally going to be wonderous nightmare's out there too
“Dear:
I feel certain that I am going mad again. I feel we can't go through another of those terrible times. And I shan't recover this time. I begin to hear voices, and I can't concentrate. So I am doing what seems the best thing to do.
You have given me the greatest possible happiness. You have been in every way all that anyone could be. I don't think two people could have been happier 'til this terrible disease came. I can't fight any longer. I know that I am spoiling your life, that without me you could work. And you will I know. You see I can't even write this properly. I can't read.
What I want to say is I owe all the happiness of my life to you. You have been entirely patient with me and incredibly good. I want to say that – everybody knows it. If anybody could have saved me it would have been you. Everything has gone from me but the certainty of your goodness. I can't go on spoiling your life any longer.
I don't think two people could have been happier than we have been. V.”
