This Sunday, a few booms in the sky gave a clear signal to descend quickly from Monte San Giorgio. What happened an hour after this shot made headlines: a strong summer storm hit the lower Ticino, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake.
In addition to the threatening skies in the photo you can admire Lake Ceresio with its characteristic "dam bridge" that joins the two banks (Melide on the left while Bissone on the right). finally the obvious promontory is the iconic Monte San Salvatore which dominates Lugano;

I’m always amazed by how the same scene could change under different light conditions. And this is exactly the case. I shot from this exact spot multiple times and I always came home with something new.
