This is a tiny part of the entire ceramic tile work called "Gateway" by Ik-Joong Kang that is in the San Francisco international airport. Look at it in the larger size to see the detail of the individual tiles.
These wall tiles are found in one of the halls off the waiting room. The three patterns repeat down the hall.
This little ceramic tile should get a big response from that Someone Special.
Is it the fun hand-drawn patterns that symbolize your whimsical side? Or is it the rich colors that indicate your innermost feelings? Is it any coincidence that the tile can withstand heat so intense that it would make lesser materials weaken and melt?
