The mother of a friend of mine asked me to paint a couple of ceramic angels for her last Thanksgiving. Both of them had originally been painted by someone she knew, and the paint job was......kind of bad. I knew I could do a better job on them.
Both of them sat on my TV for months. I had kind of forgotten about them until a few weeks ago when she asked me if I had finished them. After that I got BUSY.
I have already finished one of them, and given it to her. I wished I had taken some pictures before sending it off, but I didnt. :/
This angel was made in the mid 90's, but the Doc Holiday mold company. I will admit I do NOT like the sculpt at all. The sculptor I do not believe knows how to make a pretty face. But, I decided to put my shading skills to TEST and completely resulpt the face with paint. I think she came out pretty nicely. What do you think? I am anxious to see what her owner thinks of her. :)
