Shanghai - Exhibition Center. Built after the revolution with Russian help (one can see this from the architectural style). Located on Yan'An Road. Used for art exhibitions. Trade fairs are held at the new Pudong Exhibition Center (aka EXPO center, though it has nothing to do with the EXPO 2010).

Pittock Mansion has been called Portland's Historic House Museum. While visiting the well maintained gardens there many years ago, I found myself focused on one flower. Now that I look back at the photographs I took that day, obviously the center of this blossom attracted me as if I were an insect intent on landing there.

The Styria Media Center was finalized in 2014. The 14 story building was photographed with a Hasselblad H3Dii.
I have been meaning to find some Cypress trees for a long time, finally found my way to lake Moultry, a lot of the shoreline was frozen over, and if you look closely you can see the base of the trees are still frozen.
Our next stop is one of Icelande's most impressive sites, just behind the visitor center. It looks spectacular in winter. Stay tuned, winter is coming!
The Botín Center, also known as the Botín Center for Arts and Culture, is the name of the future cultural facility in Santander (Cantabria), Spain. It is intended to be a reference center in Spain which is part of the international circuit of leading art centers. The project is the work of the Italian architect Renzo Piano, rewarded with the Pritzker Prize. This achievement will be a first in Spain for the architect.

I'm up for a change today :]
this is quite different, and please take in consideration that I dont do much of these so I'm obviously not a pro in the matter.
HMM-- actually i had a wonderful time choosing, shooting, and experimenting with pics for this theme!! and learned so much about rendering things into b&w and the relative values in sliders.
this is thurman and his smile/face is just under an inch and he's my favorite of the possibles for "back to square one". he's particularly happy to be a part of the macro mondays group's pool for the theme of:

The Azrieli Center is a complex of three towers in Tel Aviv. Each tower has a different height and shape - the Circular Tower is 187m tall, the Triangular Tower is 169m tall and the Square Tower is 154m tall. Designed by Eli Attia and Moore Yaski Sivan Architects, the Azrieli Center towers were built in 1999.
