I stopped by the local cemetary to shoot photos of old headstones and look what was lurking in the shawdows. the fence around the cemetary was so tall that he made a couple of laps for me before leaving. It was not what I was expecting to see
This is the actual gate entrance to
the Wounded Knee Cemetary where
those who were massacred on December 29,1890. It breaks my heart
to see this structure at the entrance.
To me it is a disgrace to those lives that
were cut down. If I had the financial
means to be able to do it. I would
construct an entrance that would truely
honor these people. More about
Wounded Knee
These were the most interesting graves, there was not much to indicate who lay in them, but there was a sign indicating that they were in an area owened by the Salvation Army, one could draw the conclusion that they were the poor of Swan Hill.
Taken on Easter, 2007. My mother died July 15, 2006. I didn't go to her funeral. Now was the time for me to have closure. My daughter went with me to put flowers on her grave. On the way out of the cemetary, we stopped, got out of the Blazer and snapped this photo at random. There were many orbs and what appeared to be ribbon lights starting to come up from the grass. As you can see, we were facing west and the sun was setting. That particular orb in the sky was not the moon. When this photo is blown up, it appears there is a face in the orb. Freaky, isn't it?
While taking a picture of a graveyard this unusual orb was visible when enhancing the pictures lighting. Is it a speck of dust, a water drop on the lens, a lens flare? Or perhaps a spirit from beyond?
More orbs can be seen here.
