They turned down the lights shining on the crowd and everyone took out their BlackBerry or cell phone to make stars in the darkness.

 

Since this photo was taken in the dark on my BlackBerry, you can't really see any of the cellphones. Oh well, it's still a reminder.

This was a strike for workers who deal with the pavement. They decided to burn tires on the road so that no one could drive through them. This made it impossible for anyone to get anywhere that day. When the police showed up, the workers almost beat them up, so the police just stood aside and watched.

Not really visible in this photo, but this poster advertising "All You Can Eat" Biscuit n' Gravy Sundays, has a note in the fine print stating: "Please one order per customer". Which I'm realizing now, probably means that you can't just get one order for your whole family. Hmm...less funny now.
