Maybe it's time to get rid of some computers...

Today is day 100 of consecutively/daily taking pictures on my iPhone this year!! (yes...I started this project on Jan. 2nd...for some reason)...so what better way to 'celebrate' than have a combination of the two in one image! I feel like I have grown so much as a photographer in just the past 100 days, and it is exciting to see where I can go from here. Thanks to everyone on Flickr who has given me much inspiration and shared their work with me, and who have took time to view and/or comment on my work! You guys are awesome!

Using the Iphone 3GS in a test photo comparing it to other devices I have. Typical dark exposure, and blue tint you get with any Iphone 2G/3G/3GS. Kind of noisey too around the entire picture. Detail looks good at this zoom level but gets worse when zoomed in.

I found out that my cellphone did not work after it went through the wash. The one on the left is the (very clean) old one, and the other is the one I got today. Fortunately my Verizon plan said I was due for a new phone at no extra charge. All I was out was a couple days with no phone and the time to reprogram my numbers.

This was just brought to our office by a serviceman, recently returned from Iraq. He wanted to thank us for all the assistance this office provided to him and his family during his deployment. He specifically mentioned Operators 6 and 18, as being extremely helpful. and pleasant to deal with. He said it was almost like dealing with friends.

I haven't charged my cellphone in a wall outlet since christmas eve.

I got this solar powered charger, with a built in battery.

It workes by beeing placed in the window, were the sun can charge it. It is then charged during the day, and in the evening I can plug it into my cell phone. Next morning my phone is fully charged.

I really like the idea of beeing able to charge my phone, in a CO2 neutral way.

I took a roll of newspaper and wrapped it in wet clay. Then I took dry unfired scraps from various projects and stuck them in. A couple of glazings later and voila! A perfectly strange holder for your cellphone.
