This cellphone tower is at one of the intersections of Capitola road and Clares street, and it's behind a large unmarked building with a 3(H)2(F)2(R)(-W-) NFPA hazard symbol, and no one knows or will tell me what exactly is in there. (I'm guessing lithium battery backups, diesel generators, and something else, in combination)?

This tribe is using cellphones to help change their lives.

These two guys caught my eye this morning. They look so similar! All the way down to the same sunglasses and bracelet AND they were both on their phones :-) I just couldn't resist taking a pic of them :-)

miah and i went to our friend's house to hang out before dinner. we had noticed that nextel phones had little or no signal, so, being the geniuses that we were, we decided to combine the phones (antennas touching) to maximize our signal strength... it didn't work.

turns out that nobody's nextel could make calls for about 10-20 minutes. miah's treo 700 (verizon) had no problem :P

A nice infographic, but the source is a bit in doubt. The website of Wilson Electronics doens’t mention where the data comes from. Maybe it’s simply a publicity stunt with questionable data – wouldn’t be the first one – but it’s nicely done. Or could they have done better?

The Milky way is visible coming up from the spout of the Teapot asterism.

Messier 8, the Lagoon Nebula, is visible above the spout too.

Messier 7, Ptolmey's cluster is also visible below the spout.

The orange glow on the bottom right is Sarnia, ON.

I’ve been tagged to participate on this game and share few things about myself.

1. I love the sea. I can spent countless hours and immerse into that deep turquoise bluish color that brings so much peace and happiness to my soul.

2. I love all seasons, but I think my favorite of them all are spring/summer. Maybe, for the simple reason that I feel like I’m rejuvenating and coming back to life from the cold winter days :)

3. I like to eat and explore new cuisines and foods. I love sushi. I think I can have sushi at least once or twice a week.

4.I am a city girl. I love NY. I think it was love at first sight and I don’t think I can live someplace else. Living in NY has been so great because there’s so much diversity to pretty much every culture and traditions. Being a people person this gives me chance to go around and run into strangers that are really from the ends of the world.

5.Classical music is a big part of me. It brings me up when I’m down. Favorite composers, Bach, Handle, Mozart, and Beethoven. Also, I love other type of music and melody. I don’t think that I can live without music. I love to sing and dance. Some of you know that I have a gypsy soul because I start to dance right away in the middle of the street :)

6.Books have become the best companions when I’m not out with friends. Top list authors are: Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Balzac, Hemingway, Marques, Dumas, and Remarque. Of course, the list is longer than this, but you get an idea of what kind of books I prefer to read :)

7. I enjoy the red wine better than the other alcoholic’s drinks. I have never gotten drunk in my life. I’m too much of a freak control.

8. I love to travel. Next visit for sure will be France, Prague, Turkey, Spain & Argentina.

9. Some of you know that I like fashion, but I’m not a fashion magazine reader or runway type of person. I have things in my head and I like to put things together with my own hands. I like classic look and I try to fit into that type of style as a person. I love accessories because they add so much to a woman’s appearance. Of course, if you have been around me, you know that I have an obsession with shades of all kinds and shapes :)

10. Many people that don’t know me think that I’m stuck up because I come across as a cold and indifferent type of person. Don’t be scared. Just stick a few minutes around and you’ll see the real me :)
