The IPM41-D3 is a micro-ATX motherboard featuring the Intel G41 Express chipset and an LGA 775 socket, designed for compatibility with various Intel processors, from Celeron to Core 2 Quad series.
Key Features:
- Chipset: Intel G41 Express
- CPU Socket: LGA 775
- Memory: Two DDR3 slots supporting up to 8 GB of RAM at 1066/800 MHz
- Storage: Four SATA II ports
- USB: Four USB 2.0 ports, with the option to expand to four more via headers
Mysterious Origins:
- The IPM41-D3 motherboard has been distributed by various companies worldwide, with Brazil's PCWARE (Digitron) being one notable distributor.
- It has been integrated into pre-assembled desktop computers by well-known brands like Compaq, HP, and Itautec, possibly under the name "Pau Brazil."
- Most IPM41-D3 variants feature AMIBIOS firmware, lacking specific manufacturer markings, but bearing model and revision numbers on the PCB.
- An exception is the Intel Desktop Board DG41WV, a version with Intel's UEFI firmware and Intel branding on the PCB.
- Release date discrepancies exist, with some sources indicating 2009 and Intel's official website suggesting Q1 2010 for the DG41WV.
- Positivo also rebranded the motherboard as POS-PIG41BO, but firmware details for this version are unavailable.
- Despite multiple distributors, the original manufacturer is challenging to identify, but evidence suggests Pegatron Corporation, a Taiwanese electronics manufacturing company, may have designed it.
