48" Classic Fan Inc. Hunter "Original" copy, Hunter "2nd Century Original," JC Penney lighted housing, and FASCo "World's Fair" ceiling fans among others.

The pull chain was broken on the fan. Fixing it became quite the ordeal. Actually, we ended up removing the fan. We just need to put in the new one.

Being extremely silly testing my ability to precisely toss and spin my camera. The object of the experiment was to match the spin of the ceiling fan blades so that they appear non moving while everything else moves.

Lots of storage space in a studio, one or two bedroom bathroom. Plymouth Commons apartments in Plymouth MN

We just finished moving all of our stuff. Lots of stuff is missing right now, Danielle is making the bed, and I'm exhausted.

DIGITAL CAMERA

The ceiling fan stopped while in motion.

Photo-a-Day: Year 14, Day 17 - Total Days: 4765

This is going to be a hit. I just know it. My finger slipped and took this on accident. I was determined to post it. LOL

Same photo as last one but altered for better visibility of result. Fan blades and shadows on the ceiling indicated with green arrows. Obviously a rotating subject and rotating toss would be more interesting with a less overpowering subject, or better exposure timings. New camera soon I hope.

Singapore in January 2007.

We walked all the way down Orchard Road, then headed for Raffles Hotel. It is compulsory to see the iconic Raffles Hotel, and to sample their Singapore Sling cocktails in the Long Bar.

You can't go to Singapore without visiting the legendary Raffles Hotel ... and you can't go to Raffles without trying a Singapore Sling ...

The existing light is gone and the new fan mount and motor is in place. Wow...that's a lot of wires.

Classic Fan Inc. of DeSoto, TX took advantage of a patent expiration in the 1980s to make these excellent copies of Hunter's signature cast-iron, oil bath ceiling fan.

Deep in the service wing, this storage room handled the floral and entertaining infrastructure that kept the upstairs rooms continuously dressed. The left wall is given over to open oak shelving stacked with copper and brass jardinieres, cachepots, and urns in graduated sizes — the working inventory for arranging cut flowers and potted plants throughout the house's reception rooms. Wicker baskets fill the upper shelves on the rear wall, used for everything from picnic service to garden harvesting. The tall paneled doors at right close off additional storage, their X-braced cross panels reading as a slightly rustic Arts and Crafts inflection on what's otherwise a strictly functional space. A central work table draped in a red gingham cloth holds a few potted herbs and serves as the staging surface where arrangements were assembled before being carried upstairs.

The composition is symmetrical and tunnel-like, with the shelving on the left and the cabinetry on the right framing a vanishing point that lands on the basket-laden rear wall. The ceiling fan and small clerestory window above pull the eye up briefly before it settles back on the central table. The palette is dominated by warm oak and the burnished gold of the copper vessels, with the gingham introducing the only sharp pattern in an otherwise softly lit interior. The light is even and low, appropriate to a windowless working room.

I miss this camera. It died on me. I think I'll try out my Oympus Pen EE again to see if it'll work instead.

These were made for Moss, Codep, TAT, and View Fan. Not sure which this is.

This one was part of the fan sale/swap at the January 2017 meet-up. This is the first version of the Robbins & Myers tag used after the fan was named "The Original." Model no .22306, 2.5 amp, 2-speed shaded pole motor.

Today begins my journey to take a photo a day throughout Leap Year. Sure, maybe I'm a little late in the game. There may be days that I miss (like Friday this week). I might take old photos and treat them in a way they've never been treated before. But, I'm going to give it a shot.
