This was one of the funniest things! I just climbed up on a chair and put Coraline up on the fan! Funny!

This was the room we stayed in on our first night in Saint John. It was called the Veranda Room. It was actually a huge beautiful room, but I liked how this photo turned out... It kinda feels like our time there. It was sooo rainy and dark out. We arrived around 4 in the afternoon, had a bath, and fell asleep until almost 9! And then we had quite a time trying to find dinner that late... But we did, eventually.

Fourth day of bokeh for photog-xp.

Probably due to the salty air.

This is the first photo I took with my canon 450D and first DSLR after it had just come out of the box.

August 2008 // Paper lanterns on my four poster bed. I'm going to miss my room when I leave next month.

A few more shots from our afternoon out with e50e and Mold-A-Rama.

The things I like best about Jimmy Johns:

1. Better subs than Subway and Quiznos

2. Jalapeno potato chips

3. The Unwich (sub wrapped in lettuce instead of bread)

4. The humorous signs on the walls

Heavily processed image of the ceiling fan in motion in our living room.

Through the viewfinder of a Kodak Duraflex camera.

...the fans just push hot air down onto the crowd....the auctioneer's microphone phases in and out depending on where he stands. There's a brittle scent to the air that closes off the throat and promises a late-night headache....NOW FIVE NOW FIVE DO I HEAR SIX NOW FIVE.....head bowed, the clerk barely looks up as the runners bring her the sale tags and buyer's number....FIVEFIVEFIVE ONCE....FIVE.....TWICE.....

I freakin' love the color scheme, and the old-fashioned-looking fan.

Captured this ceiling fan with my Droid and adjusted the exposure, contrast and converted to B&W with PRO Paint Camera app.

today was my dad's fifty-sixth birthday. i, of course, forgot my camera this morning when i left the house, so the only thing i have is this picture of the ceiling fan in our bedroom which does literally nothing to mitigate the heat, & i do mean nothing.

when i was nineteen (on my dad's forty-fifth birthday), we were not on speaking terms. it had something to do with my being lippy with my mom (WHO COULD IMAGINE SUCH A THING) & my dad getting pissed & password-protecting my computer so i couldn't access it. i still have the overblown post i wrote about it -- oh the angst, oh the drama -- b/c i was convinced that i would never trust him again, & it hurt me way more than any fight with my mom b/c my mom & i always were kind of snippy with one another, but i always felt like my dad just "got" me & was secretly on my side (hint: probably not, i was kind of a jerk) & when he stuck up for my mom when i was giving her 'tude, oh man, i felt so betrayed. i think i didn't leave my room for three days (during daylight hours), though i must've slunk out of there to use the bathroom at some point. it was definitely a low point.

Interesting view of our ceiling fan, with the camera concentrating on the light from the bulbs...

Shannon was trying to nurse Annabelle, and all she wanted to do was watch the ceiling fan, so much so that she bent herself in half backwards to catch a glimpse.

Just playing with the video feature of my new camera.

October 26, 2021 - Columbus Landmarks Foundation's Building Arts Studio at Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center

"We are proud to announce an innovative, new program at Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center: Columbus Landmarks Building Arts Studio. Fort Hayes is part of Columbus City Schools and includes an Arts & Academic High School and Career Center on the historic 1862 military campus near downtown Columbus.

Working with students enrolled in Fort Hayes’ Construction Management Program, the Building Arts Studio brings hands-on preservation education and training to the curriculum, preparing students for careers in the high-demand historic building trades. The classes take place in the c1890s gatehouse located at the main entrance of the Fort Hayes campus on Jack Gibbs Boulevard. Students will make headway on the restoration and rehabilitation of this visible, campus gateway that has been vacant for decades.

The Building Arts Studio is made possible from a generous $50,000 program grant recently awarded to Columbus Landmarks from the Ann Sherry Foundation, which funds innovation in public education; and from annual operating support from the Greater Columbus Arts Council.

We are honored to embark on this unique public education opportunity not available anywhere else in U.S. Our goal is to create a knowledgeable and skilled workforce to meet local demand while improving the Fort Hayes campus for future generations." So Matt and I have celing fans in every room of our place (minus the bathroom) and since there are so many lights we usually will let it slide when a light bulb or two go out....but alas...we are down to two measly bulbs in the bedroom and since I like reading in bed it's time to admit defeat and just go out and buy some new ones.

At least one photo, every hour.

I stayed home all day with my dog watching tv.

Instead of going to my grandma's like usual.

I honestly feel controlled by everyone...

And I have no strength to be more confident

and stand up for myself.

And now I'm going over to my grandma's

for homemade spring rolls :D
