The droplets catch the blue of the sky as they themselves are suspended in the web strung between the leaves of the shrubs.

After many attempts I am beginning to see how this is done. My biggest problem was getting large enough water droplets.

This photo shows a tartan tablecloth reflected in tiny droplets suspended from the spike of a cactus.

We've had some nice soft rain, but this is still quite a challenge! I do like a challenge, 'though, so I've been trying :)

I kept waiting on the predicted rain to appear but it never did. I finally grabbed a cup of water and went out and poured it on the tree's branch.

Hello amazing Flickr people!!!

The weekend is officially here, and I hope everyone is happy about it. Things are rather calm in Montreal, except for grocery stores where people are going mad! Everybody is buying toilet paper like it is going out of style tomorrow!!! Right now, our supplies of toilet paper are ok, but the schools are closed for the next two weeks so I will have to buy some more eventually lol I think I may order via Amazon….

Today at Color my World Daily it is a pink/purple day and the theme at the fabulous Smile on Saturday Group is: 'Caught in Droplets'. I must say that this was a challenging theme for me.

I tried some new techniques for droplets photography, and it was harder than expected. First of all, I got a syringe with a needle to be able to have some more precise droplets. Usually I was using a spray bottle and some water and a lot of hope for the best. Lol. I replaced water with glycerin, which is apparently very, very messy (who knew ????)… almost like the olive oil and my “bubbles” picture from few weeks ago… So yes, I made a mess and I had to use a paper towel (that was the only thing I had near me and it was an emergency) which is very, very precious right now (lol). I had glycerin all over me so my clothes are stained… next time I will use some bio hazard suit (maybe I will repurpose the one after all the covid19 panic ?? We don’t have any yet, but I'm sure very soon people will start to wear bio hazard suits) when working with glycerin.

Well, have a beautiful day my friends!! Happy CMWD and happy SOS to all participants!! And all the best for everyone, stay safe my friends (and please don’t fight over toilet paper wherever you are, it isn't worth it !!!) !! Let’s stay positive !

Thank you so much for your comments /favs and support! I’m humbled and grateful!!! I wish you all an amazing day and see you soon on Flickr !!!

Brian doesn't normally get into this sort of thing, but he found himself completely mesmerised by the fortune teller's crystal ball. What might the future bring for Brian? He was desperate to find out if the BBC is ever going to rerun the old series of 'The Magic Roundabout'...

Thanks for views, faves and comments! ;-)

This one is from the archives again but droplet searching this week didn't turn up anything much. What with all that's going on with Covid-19, church cancelled, grocery stores crazy and everyone staying home it's been an interesting week and I've been distracted.

This too shall pass....

For this week's theme of the 'Smile on Saturday' group, 'Caught in Droplets', a drop on a branch of a freshly watered orchid refracts a floral pattern of a coaster.

“Water is fluid, soft and yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield. As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard. This is another paradox: what is soft is strong.” – Lau Tzu
