I captured this out of my window last night, used my telephoto lens with a long exposure so I'm surprised it came out so well.

Saturday Self Challenge
This week in SSC:
"Geometric shapes in colour or black and white"
You can use 1 shape or several using any subject you like as long as it's geometric in shape.
I was determined to try and find a building for this, not really sure why other than we have a distinct lack of new buildings which would work for this challenge, most stuff around here is Victorian or earlier, and a bit wonky. So I took a trip into the nearby town of Halifax and wandered around trying to see what I could find. The Halifax Building Society HQ (Now Lloyd’s Banking Group) would have done, but I’ve used it before so I was on the lookout for something different.
I’d just about given up when I spotted the new Broad Street Plaza complex through the trees. It’s only been there a few years, so that’s my excuse for never having looked at the roof before. I decided to take the shot with the geometric shapes sandwiched between the sky and the trees, just because I thought it looked better this way, I hope I'm not breaking the rules :)
The building itself is home to a VUE cinema, a few eateries and a gym. There is also a bar called The Percy Shaw, named in honour of the famous Halifax man, the inventor of cats eyes, or reflecting road studs as they are often called these days.
I don’t like the building as it’s very out of keeping with the majority of the architecture in the town, which will probably be still standing long after this has gone.
Thank you for your visit and your comments, they are greatly appreciated.

There's been a dismal lack of photographic activity round these parts of late...hopefully get back out and about soon.
In the meantime here's another pic from last months trip up to Padley Gorge
Thank you for taking the time to look in :)
When I wake up
I can't even stay up
I slept through the day, fuck
I'm not getting younger
But when I'm older
I'll be so much stronger
I'll stay up for longer
Caught a vibe
Baby, are you coming for the ride?
I just wanna look into your eyes
I just wanna stay for the night, night, night
When we take a drive
Maybe we can hit the 405
Hypnotized by the lights
Man, this must be the life
I actually saw this feather flying through the air and get caught on the tree branch and so I had my title Caught and held.
This adult Male Common Blue Damsel Fly caught an unsuspecting gnat (I think a larger fungus gnat) whilst I was lining up for a shot. The gnat was struggling but never had a chance. They're ruthless hunters and consume a good number of other invertebrates, helping to control populations.
