My niece, a teacher at the school, was the Director
national hospital for neurology and neurosurgery, london UK
as a result of shaun's stroke, his body was almost entirely paralyzed with the exception of his face - he can somewhat control his expressions but cannot speak. as a result his feet were placed into plaster casts to keep them in a set position (he is currently in a special chair that was specifically created for him, and he stays in the same position day in and day out).
Craig actually did a full book with his art and it retold the story of when Fred and Barney meet Gazoo...it had sound and everything and is awesome!
This cast iron pulley was very common in the olden days when most houses had wells. The rope threaded through the pulley was used to draw water with a galvanized iron bucket. Taken at Veteran Lines Pallavaram Cantonement, the area once designated for WWII veterans .
I made this belly cast of my second pregnancy. It is a copy of the orginal, painted by HJ Gillespie then donated to the Cairns Base Hospital for their being a Baby Friendly Hospital. Unfortunately 2yrs later it was stolen from the hospital. So if you see it on display ANYWHERE please let us know so I can get it back...
This unique looking belly cast was made at the Cairns Baby Expo. Because the pregnant mum was on stage infront of an audience we had to make the belly cast over her bra. I think the shape is quite unique. Wearing a bra during the casting is useful if you have large breasts or if your a bit on the shy/modest side!!
