"Rust n Dust Steam & Gas Show" was held this past weekend. I ended up going on Sunday afternoon. It was 88 degrees out and not a cloud in the sky( so harsh shadows) and some of the antique tractors had already pulled out. I made the best of it and talked to a few people and got a few shots in. I forgot to check what year this CASE tractor was from.
One thing I wanted to spend a bit of time doing while up in Ardnamurchan was camera trapping. Using a PIR at a selected spot, it triggers the camera based on movement. It gives a unique perspective, enabling you to capture photos you wouldn’t otherwise be able to.
In this case I was keen to show the Pine Marten that were visiting the cottage I was staying at in their forest environment. A little bit of fill flash was needed as it's quite dark in the wood, but I'm pleased with these.

Lens: Leica Summilux 50mm f/1.4 Black Chrome
Film: Kodak Portra 400
Developing: Cinestill C41 104f for 4:10 (Chemistry getting to end of life)
Scanning: Valoi Easy 35 on Nikon Z9 and Z 105mm f/2.8 at f/8 and +1 exposure comp. Valoi set to full brightness and cool light temperature. Negative Lab Pro and Lightroom.
A"case" for the "Manky Mallard group"- with his handsome white breast, maybe inherited from a white House Duck ancestor.

Una de esas sesiones fotográficas difíciles de olvidar por la especie, Correlimos gordo ( Calidris canutus) en plumaje de cría y por lo divertida que fue. En algunos casos se alimentaban tan cerca de mi posición que el mismo ruido del obturador de la cámara los asustaba sacándolos del encuadre

One of those photo sessions that is hard to forget because of the species, Red Knot (Calidris canutus) in breeding plumage and because of how much fun it was. In some cases they were feeding so close to my position that the very noise of the camera shutter scared them out of the frame.

Fue la residencia del veguer y hacia el año 1730 dejó de pertenecer a la familia de los Desclergue para pasar a manos del doctor en derecho Antón Tomàs. En la segunda mitad del siglo XIX se convirtió en un popular café y en la década de 1970, ante la amenaza de desplomarse, se hizo una rehabilitación necesaria. Actualmente es sede de las oficinas de BBVA.

It was the residence of the ‘veguer’ and in 1730 it passed from the ‘Desclergue’ family to a lawyer called ‘Anton Tomàs’. In the second half of the 19th century it was a popular café and in the 1970’s, as it was going to collapse, it was restored. At present it is the central office of BBVA.
