pillow cases picked up at a rummage sale. the butterfly on left are a pair, others are individual. Anyone know best way to brighten these, kinda dingy yellow, can I use bleach? first time to purchase vintage linens.

Two 1/9th plate ambrotypes in a Union case, dating from the Civil War period. A rather unusual case, made by Littlefield, Parsons & Co. The last patent date is 1857. These two images are no doubt husband & wife.
Got organized last weekend. Instead of having the re-ment together in their sets, everything is grouped with similar items. It makes everything so much easier to find. I still have the boxes if there is something I want to sell.
I saw this colorful antique Case at the 3rd Annual Tractor and Machinery Show at Pike County Fairgrounds in Piketon, Ohio.

I found this case on ebay; it was £6 including postage. Works pretty damn well, and looks decent too.
Seems there are still some available at time of writing, such as this one.
