The Cascade (Կասկադ in Armenian) is a complex of massive stone terraces and stairs with fountains located in Yerevan. The stone used for building the complex was white travertine. The Cascade consists of 5 hillside terraces connected with 572 steps. The entire complex is an open-air museum of modern art lying amid the green space.
A beautiful location today at the wishing well. Would have loved to stay a bit longer but the rolling thunder in the distance sounded like it was getting nearer - time to pack up again but will be back again soon. Love this place
Photo prise dans une journée de pluie... Difficile à trouver la bonne exposition...
Photo taken in a rainy day... Difficult to find a right exposure.
Et si le secret ne tenait peut-être qu’à cette conjonction de lumière, de couleur, de mousse, d’eau, de ces cortèges mystérieux et de fumet des bois, le Secret de ces instants enchâssé dans le miroir des saisons.
Currumbin Creek tumbles down the slopes of the Springbrook Plateau at velocity when it rains. This image shows a polished boulder with a pile of rounded rubble dropped as the stream slows. An age old pattern emerges as the near bank with palm saplings erodes away and the far bank collects sand and other heavier material. The scene is captured in a light well in the dense sub-tropical forest.
The city took its name from a set of locks built to improve navigation past the Cascades Rapids of the Columbia River. The U.S. federal government approved the plan for the locks in 1875, construction began in 1878, and the locks were completed on November 5, 1896. The locks were subsequently submerged in 1938, replaced by Bonneville Lock and Dam. Cascade Locks is just upstream from the Bridge of the Gods, a toll bridge that spans the Columbia River.

A view of the snow-dusted peak of Cascade Mountain from the eastern end of Lake Johnson. The mountain takes its name from a long cascade streaming down its southern side which, although interesting, is not nearly as photogenic as these aspens in their fall colors.

The Gullfoss Waterfall is one of Iceland's largest, with the glacial water cascading 32 metres down into a narrow canyon. Trying to keep the mist and spray off the lens long enough to take a shot took some practice and fast reactions.. [Iceland 16/20]
Mill Gill Force in gentle cascade mode. Found via a lovely walk along Paddock Beck near Askrigg in the Yorkshire Dales. Looking forward to seeing this at full force sometime.

On October 7, 2016, Durango & Silverton K-28 473 skirts the Animas River just south of Cascade, Colorado, at 14:44. The 473 is heading a southbound photo charter organized by Dave and Jean Gross. Photo by Joe McMillan.
I returned to my favorite little cascade at Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. This time I tried a longer lens and photos were taken looking into much brighter reflections. Depth of field was shallower with the longer lens but closer details were beautiful. Access was a little more difficult because the snow was deeper, but it was worth it.
