Detail shot of the beautiful waterfalls at Healey Dell near Rochdale. Taken with my new Rx100 that's replaced all my camera gear :D
I've seen these three for years. Mom - right, Dad - center, Junior - left. I've had the privilege to watch Junior grow up.
Found these huge ceramic pots, filled with gorgeous blossoms & vines lined up at the entrance of The Central Canadian Experimental Farm in Ottawa!

The Cascades du Sautadet have been created over the centuries, when the water of the river Cèze has drilled with enormous force through the limestone rock mass. Due to this process of erosion, many holes and deep channels have been formed over the centuries. Some of these holes are as much as ten meters deep. Thanks to this process, a particularly beautiful landscape has been created. The name Sautadet is believed to be derived from the Greek god of death, Hades. This would be a reference to the many invisible caves formed by this process of erosion. In 1993, the Cascades du Sautadet were classified as "zone naturelle", recognizing this landscape as one of the most beautiful landscapes in the department of Gard.

There's an air of trompe l'oeil in this image looking towards a walled seat under a water cascade in Wroxton College, Oxfordshire. You decide which side of the waterfall, this was taken
My new face, my new body. What do you all think? Leave comments if you want to add your opinion. Thanks. Also this neon couture corset from Altered State is amazing.
Following the walking track along Leura creek you see a series of delightful cascades. The walk takes less than an hour and I strongly recommend it.
Used Lightroom for highlights and shadows, then Perfect layers to remove some branch falling over the water, and Perfect Effects to give a bit of style.

Another wonderful day out exploring the back roads! We met some very lovely and helpful people and saw the waterfall we had intended to see. (this isn't it!) The waterfall, called Stanton Creek waterfall, was beautiful but hard to photograph as I could only look down on it and could not get a good perspective. There was a path that went straight down, but it was inches deep in mud and didn't look the least bit safe! I could see Anita eyeballing it wistfully though! This photo was taken upstream where there were a series of smaller cascades, this being the first of a series of about three small drops. We found another swinging bridge and walked a little while on the Appalachian Trail. (This trail is 2,200 miles long! ) So many new sights and experiences added up to a truly stand out day.
La cascade d’Entraigues forme une chute de 18 m de haut, encaissée dans un vallon et entourée par une végétation abondante de fougères et de hêtres.

Looking at Cascade Mountain from the sign display at the Banff Gondola parking lot. Cascade is 1 of the 2 iconic peaks that surround Banff, Mt. Rundle being the other.
The mountain was named in 1858 by James Hector after the waterfall or cascade on the southern flanks of the peak. Before that it had been called Stoney Chief.
Enjoy a wonderful Spring (or autumn for my friends down under) weekend!
We didn't get much of a Winter, although it is snowing as I type this, but I did manage to get out a couple of times to find frozen waterfalls.
This one, in Ohio, was a nice one, although some of the ice colors were not so pleasant.
The Cascade is a giant stairway made of limestone in Yerevan, Armenia. It links the downtown Ketron area of Yerevan with the Monument neighborhood. Designed by architects Jim Torosyan, Aslan Mkhitaryan, and Sargis Gurzadyan the construction of the cascade started in 1971 and was partially completed in 1980.

This daybreak shot of Lake Cascade was taken on same day as yesterday's post. Often the mornings after a long rain are ideal for landscapes. Glad I was out this morning.
Enjoy a great Friday and fun Halloween weekend!
