World Diabetes Day is the primary global awareness campaign focusing on diabetes mellitus and is held on November 14 each year.
“Don't let yourself fall, you gotta pick yourself right up and strive to do better and be better! Think positive. Don't let the Diabetes control you! You control the Diabetes! Be strong because someways might be tough but you are tougher!”
― Tiffany Danczak
I have been on the borderline since last year and since then I always try to take care of what I eat and watch over my daily routine. I always carry this device with me just in case. This photo is one shot, handheld with two table lamps for lighting. Less than 3" including negative space. For Macro Mondays "EDC"
Oceanside Pier, California.
Found this perch late one night at the hotel and had to run back down to grab the tripod. Some moments are just this good.

It's like all this time
I've been waitin' for you with my open eyes
Scannin' the room for a peace of mind
You look so good in this light
It's like suddenly all that's important is in front of me
Already know what we're gonna be
You look so good in this light

I took this shot inside the magnificent Dahlia Display at Hampton Court Palace. I decided to carry around my heavy macro lens on that day, which was a wise decision.
Unlike most of its relatives in the thread-waisted wasp family (Sphecidae), which nest in excavated underground burrows, the grass-carrying wasp prefers to nest aboveground in a preexisting cavity. These gentle, solitary wasps are common in July and August, visiting a variety of flowering native plants. Females collect tree crickets and grass blades in our gardens and landscapes to provide food and a safe, comfortable nursery in the chosen cavity where their larvae will grow and develop.
It's ok it's an empty snail shell. I got quite carried away trying various objects in ice. I was glad of the subzero temperatures as I placed them in snow where they were backlit by the low sun so I had no worries about any of them melting too soon.

There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more"

I'd also like to tell you about our new group on Flickr: Pictures of good movies. It's a collection of film scenes that show you instantly which film they're from. We'd love to have you as a member or creator of such images.
Before Corona these were Handkerchiefs and Hand Cream - and now also Hand Disinfection Gel and Mouth-Nose Protection Mask - like the most of us.

Not a very exciting bird but I love the colours in this image. Taken in Thule Bay on Stewart Island near the end of a long walk (well, long for me carrying my big lens). Such lovely colour saturation in New Zealand sometimes.

As the sheets danced on the clothesline, carried by a gentle breeze, and the fragrance of freshly laundered linen filled the air, I couldn't help but be transported back to a cherished memory. It was a magical spot nestled in the heart of the forest, where I spent blissful summers with my Great-Granny. In that quaint yet cozy haven, every corner held a piece of nostalgia, and every moment felt like a warm embrace. It was a place where I truly felt at home, where memories were woven into the very fabric of the landscape.

Taken for the Grove Art Centre photo club, theme this week is 'play with light and dark'.
Photo location is the very lovely Frogmore which is lit beautifully by the shared environment. It is sweet, colourful, wild and feels like a warm hug. I couldn't use it for this shot but it's definitely worth seeing for yourself.

I lost my mojo a bit during the last few months due to busy life (among other things), but on Sunday I finally had some fun again with one of my vintage lenses.
Gosh, that lens does love to flare : ))
Welcome November !
