My carpoolers humored me by sitting in the car, in the parking lot, after work while I set up my camera. The haze is from the dust on the windshield...my camera was outside.
We shared rides to work, reduced our travelled km's by 1/3 and saved around 25kg of CO2-e. All staff in the photo travelled in one car! (+ note the empty car park!)

The Kendall platform is usually deserted at 6pm Friday. Of course, at
6pm Friday a train should have arrived in the last half hour.
DC has an informal carpool tradition at rush hour... commuters line up and wait for a single driver who wants to use the high-occupancy vehicle (carpool) lane on I-395 heading into the Virginia suburbs. They call these "slug lines." I'm not sure where the term came from, but there's a web site about it.
