We decided that we'd have a "theme" for our vacation pics this time. So We tried to be sure all of the great places we went to we snapped a pic with at least one of us playing on our iPhones. As we uploaded them to Facebook our friends chided us for visiting famous places and not playing attention, though by the 3rd or 4th pic, just about everyone had figured out the joke.
Heres the whole set of those pics we took along the way.
Two of my sisters and one brother-in-law are int Italy on vacation. I am posting some of the pictures that they are sending me.
A 1920 vintage restored carousel in Hampton, VA
History:
Its one of only 183 antique wooden carousels remaining in the United States.
Out of 75 built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company of Germantown, PA, The Hampton Carousel is number 50.
The carousel operated each summer from 1920 to 1985 at Buckroe beach amusement park until the park closed down. It was dismantled and stored until restoration began in 1988 and reopened for visitors in 1991.
