This is the fourth carousel installed in the Freeman building at Seaside Heights, New Jersey. The original carousel was a gas-powered model constructed in 1915 by the State Amusement Company of Philadelphia. It was replaced by an electric Dentzel model in 1916 after Frank Freeman purchased the property. The second installment perished in a fire in 1955 and was replaced with a carousel from Coney Island. This third carousel was sold in the 1980s, and has since been replaced by the one depicted above.

Somewhere in Coney Island there was once a place called Steeplechase Park. Having read that there will be a new roller coaster, named "Thunderbolt" after the "Annie Hall" roller coaster on those grounds I went looking for what is left of Steeplechase. I found this new carousel on the boardwalk.

A carousel in motion in Mall of America,Minneapolis. January 6 2008. A long exposure setting is the best way of taking carousel shots.
Found this Mesmerizing Carousel during one of my ballads during "Paris by Night". “Life is like a Carousel, Sometimes you’re up and sometimes you’re down, and sometimes you just go round and round. Just remember to enjoy the ride!” #carousel #Paris

I didn't get on this one because it looks rather childish. I like the way this shot came out because of the bright colors. Although now that I think about it, any ride with these kinds things must be fun even though it looks rather a too classic ride
I bought a Canon Eos Rebel XS 35mm camera at a local Estate Sale for $15.00 and wanted to test the lens as far as color.contrast, clarity etc. I went to the local mall and shot this Carousel. This is what I got shot with Kodak 200 Gold film.
The little girl in the pink repeatedly alerted bystanders to the fact that she would one day be Miss America. If you can dream it, you can do it, right?
I love Carousels. Probably one of my all time favorite things. I couldnt wait to photograph Meagan on her very first ride.
the lovely Victorian carousel at the Winter Wonderland at Christmas in Princes Street Gardens, put through a 'sphere' filter on Photoshop. Again I am surprised I got this to come out on the old camera with no night shot function.
