I decided to grasp the nettle for this week’s Macro Mondays' theme, Handle with Care. Stinging nettle (urtica dioica) may be an irritant but it does have a range of medicinal properties, being an antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-ulcer, astringent and analgesic. Not to miss out the wise words from across the breakfast table, “Don’t forget its use in cookery, as nettle soup”.

Mōlī, or laysan albatross (Phoebastria immutabilis), return from the sea to nest in the northern winter season. Committed parents, the adults take turns tending the downy hatchling. This simple nest is a scraping in the coastal sand dunes in the shade of a naio bush. Older chicks will be left on their own since upping the feeding effort of the parents is necessary with the chick’s increasing size.

For Macro Mondays theme - Handle with care. This Venetian shot glass, along with the other 5 glasses and decanter is one of the few sets of breakable items that survived the Christchurch earthquakes over the last 5 years in our home. Glass is smaller than credit card.
Given to me by my father-in-law when he returned from an overseas trip in the 1970's HMM

I don't care what the Netflix subtitles say, I'm not calling it Antique.
So, now that's all taken care of I can show you my latest project that's definitely not been sitting around for a few weeks: Anteiku! Took a while to get right, the floor plans were something that took a great deal of time to get right, but I think I cracked it. It's got the works, five floors, a roof area, plants, everything seen in the anime...
Except for characters and the entire furnishings of the floors above and below the cafe bit. The main build was enough to worry about, let alone doing all the interior decorating. I'll get to it one day, but for now it's just got the cafe.
You would not believe how hard it is to work out where things should be, I'm not even sure if the actual Anteiku works irl, lots of bits that don't quite line up.
But I like what I managed to do. Maybe I'll even work out some interiors for the other floors.

The lion (Panthera leo) is a species in the family Felidae.
Lions live in large groups called prides. A pride consists of multiple related females and their dependent offspring along with two or three unrelated males. A typical pride has about 15 members, although some prides as large as 40 members have been observed.
Lions spend much of their time resting; they are inactive for about 20 hours per day. Although lions can be active at any time, their activity generally peaks after dusk with a period of socialising, grooming and defecating. Intermittent bursts of activity continue until dawn, when hunting most often takes place. They spend an average of two hours a day walking and 50 minutes eating.
Female lions, sisters, live together for life. Their female cubs also stay with the pride, even after they’re grown, but male cubs must venture out on their own once they reach maturity.
This very intimate moment between Mamma Lioness and cub was captured on a late evening game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, Kenya.

Compare to Single or Double-Edge Razors, these cartridge type razors are smooth and safe, but you still need to handle them with care to avoid nicks.

I try not to over or under-water my sister's memorial Christmas tree. I have taken a bit better care with this one than the last, but I am always worried I am doing too much or too little... there's a shocking lack of information at least on YouTube- most people just post videos of how and where to plant them instead of long-term care.

朱鸝 Maroon Oriole ... My previous comment about the dad being less caring than the mom may be wrong. Look at the tenderness in his eyes... This nesting place is near a water reservoir supplying the whole Taipei city. The lack of rain over the last couple months has lead to an alarming low water level. However, this is beneficial to this Oriole family as the parents can easily get snails for the chicks from the drying waterside.
