Tu sei come una terra
che nessuno ha mai detto.
Tu non attendi nulla
se non la parola
che sgorgherà dal fondo
come un frutto tra i rami.
C'è un vento che ti giunge.
Cose secche e rimorte
t'ingombrano e vanno nel vento.
Membra e parole antiche.
Tu tremi nell'estate.

This is a European Wool Carder Bee (Anthidium florentinum) that was snoozing in my Lavender. For this shot I focused on the leading edge of the bee's face and then twisted my wrist to push the top of the frame deeper into the scene. The result is a "magic angle" that creates the illusion that there is a lot of depth. Those three orbs on the critter's forehead are simple eyes, and it is thought that they are used to help maintain stability while flying.
Tech Specs: Canon 80D (F11, 1/250, ISO 200) + a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens (set to around 2x) + a diffused MT-26EX-RT with a Kaiser adjustable flash shoe on the "A" head (the key), E-TTL metering, -1/3 FEC). This is a single, uncropped, frame taken hand held. In post I used Topaz Sharpen AI and Clarity in that order. I used an artificial flower to keep the background from being black.

Remember, you can answer this as yourself, a fictional character, a historical figure, one of your characters, or Maybe even as another flickr member.....or if you think of another option 乁(⌣ل͜⌣”)ㄏ
If you wanted, you could answer as a character but only give the book or show title and have people guess the character. :)
Feel free to tag others to join in on the game ;)

For a friend who loves RED. These were left over from breakfast so I thought I'd put them to good use and paint a card ready for her birthday at the weekend. Most unlike me, as I usually leave everything to the last minute.
Have a great weekend.

The common carder bee (Bombus pascuorum) is a species of bumblebee present in most of Europe in a wide variety of habitats such as meadows, pastures, waste ground, ditches and embankments, roads, and field margins, as well as gardens and parks in urban areas and forests and forest edges. It is similar in appearance to Bombus muscorum, and is replacing the species in Northern Britain.
The common carder bee is polyectic, feeding on a variety wild flowers, including nettles, genuine motherwort, Himalayan balsam, cabbage thistle, knapweed, vetches, red and white clover, monkshood, fruit trees, etc.
Card 24:Things that don't go together.
My answer: Chocolate and Bacon.......Just trust me on this one.😐
I know what your thinking. But I'm not late! MONDAY IS!😋

I decorated this lovely flower pot card for Emma's Paperie - I'm guest designing there this month! The store is super-cute...I couldn't resist adding some colorful goodies to the already lovely card! =) The pot and green leaves are what it originally looks like, I added all of the petals and leaves....! Thanks for peeking!
**This card is now available in my shop - please see my profile for details!**
Decided to keep a memory of this card as it came from several children in my neighborhood--ages ranging from 4 to 7 years old. It's nice to be remembered on Valentine's Day from such a wonderful group of kids!
This is one of the captures I had taken and made into a Christmas Card for this year. This ceramic tree was my Grandmother's, and has been passed down to me. One day will be passed on to my daughters, or grand children (if that happens :))
Merry Christmas Flickr Friends!

our friend was married on Saturday. This is the magnolia in bloom from our balcony - they only last such a short time - but beautiful for that short time. Saturday morning when i drew this for a wedding card, it was perfect - on Monday morning when I looked it was gone - a brown skeleton
I've been putting all my real photo postcards (okay, some of them) in a pile, to do a rppc sale. Seems like the rppc collectors will pay more if they get a post all to themselves.
Postcard collectors in general, the ones who collect the commercial cards, seem the most rabid of collectors to me. At Allentown (the largest ephemera show east of the Mississippi, and probably in the country), there is an area about as big as a basketball court, right in the middle of the exhibition space, where the postcard dealers are set up. Collectors will sit there for hours on end, going through box after box of postcards. All organized by state, city, subject, etc.
The randomness of vernacular photo collecting is what appeals to me. I'm never looking for anything (beyond a great image) when I'm looking through a box, or a basket, or (best of all, a suitcase) full of photos. I'm just happy when something good, and quite often something great, pops up.
I honestly can not remember having seen this card before, and there she was, right on top of the stack. I'll keep her around for awhile, just so I can look at her.
(The pose and the framing are very well done, which adds greatly to the appeal of the card.)
